When you do a long press, it will turn off all the advance trac, stability control etc. The only thing still functioning is ABS , so now the car will be free to rotate and get loose. As well as come all the way around on ya.I see that when I switch to Track Mode the yellow traction off light comes on in the display. So the basic TC is automatically disabled.
Long holding the traction toggle disables Advance Trac. That is what I have yet to try on track.
In Track Mode, TC is still enabled but at a higher threshold. Toggle the TC switch once and TC is disabled. Found that out by driving on a wet skid pad this weekend and the TC would kick in rather abruptly even in track mode.I see that when I switch to Track Mode the yellow traction off light comes on in the display. Was advancetrac still on? Ive known the traction control is basically totally off in this mode, but I am not sure about advancetrac and I havent tried doing donuts in the wet or anything. I am assuming and hoping that advancetrac is still on at least some... since it doesnt say advancetrac off.In Track Mode, TC is still enabled but at a higher threshold. Advancetrac was still on, but with TC off I was able to get a little bit of drift around the skid pad. Not so much with TC on in track mode. Was advancetrac still on? Side note: The throttle map in track mode on the Eco ramps in quickly and then you're managing boost with a little engine that makes the same torque as a V8, but at a lower rpm, it can get busy. Anyway, to make things more manageable, I had my tuner make a linear throttle map. Well, they clearly use the quick throttle mapping to light off the turbo, because without it, the thing had pretty ridiculous turbo lag. It was hopeless. Live and learn, I had him put it back. I don't like a progressive throttle in general, but the turbo 4 made a pretty good argument for it.auto car or manual? Magneride or not?
One downside to track mode is the aggressive throttle mapping makes it a lot harder to modulate the throttle at the limit,
