Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to let everyone know Trackspec is starting to develop hood vents for the GT350.
John picked up my stock hood the other day to scan and we took some measurements off my car
and talked about some options, one of them being side vents but one of the problems
is our airbox is in the way?
He said the center vent will be similar to the GT4 vent he makes

Feel free to chime in and let me know on your thoughts on the side vents?
Thanks
Paul
If the vent is going to be powder coated, it may be a good idea to powder coat the hardware also. My previous experience with a TrackSpec hood vent is the screws, nuts, washers will get surface rust on them. This makes for an unsightly look. Look forward to seeing the end result for this vent. I will be a buyer also.

You think this will help with hood stability at high speeds too? The flutter and how the edges of the hood start to budge out bugs the snot out of me.

Also any chance you can replicate the GT4 dive planes??
Mitch - I heard through the grapevine that APR is working on dive planes for the 350 :D

I do!

Also, I have raised the hood bumpers up pretty high and that took care of flutter to a large extent up to 150ish.

I'll buy a set, tired of the hood lifting a track speeds.

Maybe I'm wrong but I feel like the side vents would help with hood flutter even more than the center vent. If you look at how it flops around it also starts raising the side edges of the hood which makes me think that the pressure buildup is on the sides.

How concerning is the structural integrity with the side vents?

Update-
The first prototype hood vents are done, I'll be getting the first one next week to check the fitting
to make sure everything is good to go!
The side vents are about another 7 days out.
Here's a couple of pics in the mean time, enjoy!
