In my life time I have had two cars stolen. one I got back the other I have never heard from again. Sorry to have to say this but after dealing with the abuse that the one I got back had, compared to the one I never saw again. I would have to say that if I ever have another one stolen I hope they never find it and the insurance just pays me out.

I'm sure either someone here or someone on SMUK has that number plate on their car (the "fake" one the crooks put on the car) so its a real mustang number plate.

Seemed to take an age to track down in the side roads, and by the looks of it if they hid the car in a garage they probably wouldn’t have found it !

I was more concerned by how easy the professional locksmith got the steering lock off which is the same as I have ! That said the 3mins or so time it took is a long time if you’re under pressure !

I think the video was stopped and restarted so it actually took longer than on video, so as not to show how it was done but yes get your point!

Sorry to say that the lock of the steering lock would be a very easy thing to open sub 30 secs with the right kit or a bit of skill

Also not over impressed how many hours it took to pinpoint the car down, but I interesting to watch

Thieves tend to park them up for a few days to see if they have a tracker fitted, if nobody turns up then fairly safe that they will not get tracked.

Faraday pouch for the keys would have avoided the whole thing

They said on the video, three and a half minutes to get the lock off. That 'sonic screwdriver' app is impressive. :)

not leaving the keys near the door would have worked equally as well and not cost a penny or been inconvenient

put the keys 10 foot from the door / windows or inside a wall mounted key safe and its fine then you don't have to have split bunches of keys in your pockets or faff around with some silly little pouch. bit of common solves 99% of problems if you leave your key near the door its your own fault. (all keys not just wireless)
