I haven't been to Great Lakes Dragway wince the early 2000s. Wish I would have got a automatic. I'm tired of this damn MT-82 always giving me issues. Lately, it has been really clunky and popping out of gear. I haven't really abused it but i don't think it will take many more 40mph roll races in Mexico. Did the shocks make a big difference on the launch? Thinking of changing to them from my steedas.

I guarantee there hasn’t been many changes at GLD since you were last there ... lol
I do love the auto for what I do with this car, it’s been great so far but I’m curious how long these will live behind 800+ rwhp...

I don’t have a ton of before and after testing with the shocks, all I know is that my first outing I had one good fluke launch where it hooked, the rest of the attempts had major wheel hop and I had to abort and it made for a frustrating night.

The only two things I changed before going to the track again where the E85 fuel and the Viking Crusader shocks. So increasing the HP on a track that was in notably worse shape too.
It produced the same 1.5x 60’, “but” 4 times consistently in a row. That’s all the data I have for now.

My car does not leave any where as hard as yours does as still stuck in the high 1.7x 60 ft range .
I have the magneride shock and car is lowered quite a bit with the eibach GT 350 spring but I have had zero wheel hop with only the BMR cradle lock outs/drag radials .

Ah, I have the Eibach pro kit lowering springs and the busta base model...

Lol @“busta base”
I weighed mine this weekend at a truck stop - 4100lbs without me (at least I don’t think I was standing on the scale ) with full tank
I am about 200lbs so race weight may be 4300lbs.

Mine weighed 3,780 with 1/4 tank. I then filled it up for the track plus my 240.
4100 empty sounds really heavy.

Yeah - I was surprised too .

I had to get out of the car but I wondered if I was standing on the scale when I pressed the botton . Lol
My KB car weighed about 3800 on the same scale but that’s a base and has some weight reduction (minus rear seat delete/corbeau seats /Baer brakes plus 5 gallon ice tank )

Getting that shift dialed in is going to get you in the 9s, nice!

I plan on attending a track rental to test the 3.625 on E85 on the 22nd
How did you do?
