Total loss payout examples?

As some of you know. My car was completely demolished on Thursday. It will be a total loss payout. Car was in excellent condition with only 27K miles, premium car with all the options.

I’m curious as what I could expect as a payout. So if anyone has has been through this truly devastating event, can you tell me what you received for your 2015+ Mustang GT? Maybe add mileage/options?

It’s been a long time, but back in 2004 I lost my ‘97 Firebird Formula WS6…383 stroker with nitrous. Had a garage fire…nitrous bottle ended up in the cemetery at the end of the street… . Think I ended up with an insurance payout of roughly KBB private party value. If you’ve got recent pics to establish condition, that will help your cause. Plus proof of mileage. They’ll have your vin so should know options but I’d run the numbers myself so that way you’ll know if their offer is bullshit.

Holy cow!?! That’s a crazy wreck…guess it’s a testament to the Mustang’s crash worthiness.

Given how much values have jumped up on used vehicles over the past few years, you’re probably in a much better situation to get full retail than I was nearly 20 years ago.

buy it back and buy a ffr daytona kit car, it'll take you a few years to build it. and back in action.

I totaled a CTS-V a while ago, got near used value (minus deductible) and they let me take off most of the aftermarket mods including exhaust etc.

Wheelspin at shift. Veered straight into the woods instantly at 70-75mph.

Similar to mine but I was going slower. I no lift shifted 1-2 and blew the tires off so hard I couldnt recover, I hit a pole head at around 45 mph and it fell on top of my car. No injuries for me since it was head on and I braced well and wasnt going as fast thankfully.



Good luck with recovery, very lucky to have come out of that one.
