There may be better performance and/or use cases for 19" (or even 18" for that matter), but my $0.02, from a purely aesthetic perspective is 20" look better.

The S550 has a fairly "thick" profile, it remains very balanced with 20" wheels, they don't look overly big like a 22" would (there's a 5th gen Camaro around here with what has to be 22" wheels, it looks like a baby stroller ...)

MRR FS01 Flowform construction

Well hell with it I might as well put in my 2 cents.:D

Here is our popular FS01 made specifically for Ford Mustang applications.
Light weight Flow form construction, Concave Mesh design. Hub centric, no spacer requirements, straight bolt on application. Here is what a gloss black looks like in a 20x10 and 20x11 with 325 rear tires.

I love this setup, can you price it out for me?

20s look great but I went with 19s due to ride quality and handling, and I think they still look good when lowered...with the right wheel design.

I was thinking of going with the same wheels and 315/35 rear and 285/35 in the front. The 325's in the rear look great but were afraid of clearance issues. What size tire do you have on the front and is there any clearance issues?

on a normal set up 275/35/19 and a 305/35/19 fit right in with no mods required.
to do a 325 you just need the rear wheels to be a 55-56 off set and they will clear with no issues.

Whenever possible pick tires first then wheels.

For instance, for the 200TW tires there are none in 315 and not much in 325 - 19 sizes. And some 325's require 12" wide wheels.
None of the really sticky R compounds (Hoosiers, etc.) are availible in 20.
Most of the availible take off slicks are 18's (which has poor selection in Mustang sized 200TW tires).

that Black Mustang on our site is using 325 ser tires on 19x11 wide wheels, I know thins cause I met him, he came down to our facility and we re adjusted the off sets to accommodate the tire size, worked out extremely well and he was lowered but I can not remember what height he had.

I agree with this very much. I’ve done both and can detect no difference in seat of the pants from a handling and acceleration perspective. When I bought my first set of rims for the car I chose 19” to reuse my stick Michelin’s but they always seemed small for the mass of the S550. Less than 6 months later I had 20’s on order and don’t regret it in any regard. Ride quality is about the same as well, which is also partially varies from one tire brand to the next. I do kind of like the idea of a staggered diameter setup and toyed with the idea but I would have chosen 20/21”. Saw one car with HRE’s i 21” and it looked really good.
