I loved the car, thoroughly enjoyed it, but there were several reasons I moved on. It needed a cage, wasn't able to ever get traction, was always correcting the car and saving my @$$, even at 120+, felt like my days were numbered. I'm 6ft6", don't fit in cars with cages, didn't want to destroy the car and make it a dedicated strip toy. I was able to get good $ out of my 15, was able to use those funds for some property investments that I own. I also didn't love my Hellion kit once I went to Welds, clearance issues, the car was also hard on brakes, I always smelled like exhaust/e85, and I missed shifting gears and spirited driving. I'll definitely build another auto twin turbo car, but going to start with an 8-10pt custom cage, strip the car, go for 200mph.
Hello - Did you have a GT350 Twin Turbo'ed? Just curious because I'm headed in that direction and would love feedback from someone who has done it.

No but I'm considering it now. My 15GT had twins, she was a complete maniac :eyebulge:

Okay, I'm trying to figure out wheels/tires for the strip..... won't be used there often but I would like a baseline with sticky tires. I'm sending mine to FatHouse Fab early Oct. for their TT setup.

I ordered a full American Racing exhaust from Beefcake today, 1 7/8 longtubes, high flow catted 3" Xpipe, and catback. I'm going to make a baseline pull on the dyno while she is still stock, install the exhaust, Ken Bjonnes from PBD will be doing a custom tune, then I'll hit the strip again. I'll have definitive before and after dyno numbers and drag strip mph gains to share, stay tuned.

Nice!
In for results .
Are you going to run drag radials or slicks ?
I assume slicks would be sketchy with the wide front radials .

I'm hoping for 18x5's for the front, will find out tomorrow from Weld if they can do it. Also hoping to go 17x10's for the rear. I know a slick would 60 better but I like to play out on the skreet, so a 305/45 MT R would be ideal.

How DOT bias ply ?
https://m.summitracing.com/parts/mtt-3574
They are 28 inches so taller than stock but the car needs more gear so a shorter tire would be better .

The ET R radials come in 315/35 R17
https://m.summitracing.com/parts/mtt-3571

They are 26 inches .They should fit a 17x10 race star wheel or the Welds .

I scored a set of OEM rear wheels cheap and I was planning to run the SS drag radials
325/35 R19
https://m.summitracing.com/parts/mtt-3490
They are 27 inches ....but $411 a tire !!

Those bias ply R's would rock, but I recently got rid of my 17 F250 and my car hauler since I sold my "race car." I regret getting rid of my F250, going to buy another truck soon, so I plan to drive to the strip for now, which rules out the bias ply. A shorter tire would offer better gearing but at the expense of less sidewall, might be harder to 60ft. I do like the gearing of the 350, 4th gear will hold to 142mph on a 28" tire at 8100rpms, good potential for a blower.

I'll let you know what Weld says tomorrow, gotta make sure I can get some wheels first.

No answer yet. I called them on Friday but the sales guy didn't talk to the engineers. I'm calling them again tomorrow, plan to order a set if they are going to make them.

You sure a 17x 10 will fit ?

I have two sets of 17x9.5. Race stars with drag radials mounted .
One with the 305/45 's ET R's and another with 275/50 M&H drag radials that are less aggressive.
Not one pass on the brand new ET R's and just one with the M&H's since Hellion car went down last year May:frusty:

I may try mounting them to see if they fit .I had not even considered using them but as I did not think they would help being so tall .

No idea, waiting for Weld to tell me what will fit, then choosing from the options. An 18x5 front and 17x10 rear would be ideal but we'll see. Hoping to get an answer tomorrow, will probably get another set of S77B's if it's an option.

How exactly did you launch? From the video it looks like you just feathered the clutch and gas off the line.

I put it in dragstrip mode, did a line lock burnout, and just feathered the clutch from around 3k. Anything higher and she'd wheel hop or spin. Im installing a bunch of BMR parts, Vertical links, toe rods, cradle bushing lockout, LCA bearing kit, Diff lockout kit, and a hardware upgrade kit. Those mods should help the launch, as well as a set of Welds, hopefully. I should be able to drop the 60's into the 1.6's, shave off a ton of ET. Also installing a full American Racing exhaust, longtubes, xpipe, catback, hoping to go low 11's next time out.

BMR makes great components, used them on my boosted GTO. I was planning on modding my GT350 but this engine scares the shit out of me. I'm at 2500 miles and have a nasty valve train noise and oil consumption issue that just started. This is my first Ford performance ford product, so I am in untested waters here. I have to say that my H/C and 2 supercharged LS motors held up well. Hopefully the same with this motor.
