Need your help here ladies and gents. I currently have a lightly modded 2015 GT performance pack with about 28K on the odometer. The warranty is good until end of April and overall very good condition. I got an offer from Carmax for 24000.I paid 30k new and put about 6 to 7k in exhaust, body work (hood scoop, premium quad bumper conversion) and also air intake and leather seating. In the future I am thinking about that 2020 GT500 or even a 2020 GT with a blower from that popular Ford store in Ohio. Should I sell now or should I hood on one more year? all opinions welcome..I need options..

I took this picture 2 years ago but she still looks this good!

Sell it, you never get your money back for mods,if your only taking 6 grand in deprecation that's pretty good for the miles that are on the car,it's a nice car but with the improvements to the 2018's the 2015 to 2017 prices will really start to drop.

Why do you want to sell it?
Because he wants to upgrade.
Sell for $24K that’s seems reasonable since u only paid $30K. The mods don’t add value imo during trade in. Though, if you trade in, the cars value is subtracted from trial price and not taxed.

Saving for the 2020

Why do you want to sell it?
Hi ..I love this car but she is starting to show a little wear and my plan was to add a blower but I think I’ll start over.

Not a bad deal, cost 22 cents per mile on your depreciation.

Thanks for response. I am not even gonna put it back to factory. The new owner will get a great car with corsa exhaust and an air intake and brand new tires... thought about waiting one more year but a little afraid the value may not hold based on 2018 and 2019 models differences.

Thanks .. I am excited about the depreciation but sad because of the sentiment. Oh well ..will get over it once I take delivery in a year or so.

$24,000 for a used 15' with 28K on the ODO is higher than I would have expected from Carmax.

For example, you can get a similar Base PP for $26k off their lot:

The offer appears high for CarMax (wholesale pricing). How long ago was the offer made? I believe their offers are good for 5 (?) days. If your still in that window i'd either act now forget it.

Mine has wing, new tires, faux leather and quad exhaust...maybe they mistook it for a premium

Maybe try taking some mods off so you can sell them separately
