Yeah, it's more expensive and time consuming. Yeah, I didn't have my car for close to a week. Yeah, it's more stressful wondering/hoping that putting all the brakes back together will go smoothly.

But...powdercoated calipers and rotors done professionally...look damn good!

They look great! I wanted to powdercoat mine, and could have dealt with my car being down for a week, I was just impatient...

Question - do you leave the bleeder and pistons and boots in? How do the PC'ers avoid getting PC in the caliper?

Not sure...I think they have "plugs" that fill anything that they don't want powder to get in/on.
But no they don't stay in

Right... I suppose I could have thought of plugs. :frusty:

Looks nice. I have never seen caliper paint last. PC lasts.

Well done!
Did you get a rebuild kit, or re-use the original pistons and seals??

You have me mistaken for someone who knows what they're doing. :)
The brakes were taken apart and put back together by a real mechanic. I believe he did use some new rings tho. Mechanic cost me $225. Bargain.

Looks completely factory and totally badass! Been thinking of painting my calipers but don't want it to look like "some guy with a rattle can did this in his driveway" when that's basically how I'm thinking of doing it.

I am planning taking mine apart myself. I cant find the rebuild kit for the rears. I know that I can reuse them - but in my world, I tear them and it takes weeks to get them.... so I was looking to get rebuilt kits for front and rear. Cant find the part numbers?

There isn't a rebuild kit for the rear assembly. I had a torn piston boot and they had to replace the entire rear assembly.

That's why I took mine to an "expert". Some things are worth doing yourself.
Not this.

It's been my most satisfying of my mods so far. Love staring at the calipers.
