Why not the PS4S? Although the Conti's are good tires too, most reviews, and Tire Rack has the Michelins rated higher.

The best is the ps4s but I believe the Conti’s give it a run for the money and are cheaper as well which is why people suggest the conti’s

If you want to go fast, which requires turning off TC, my recommendation is MT Street S/S.. They are expensive AF but hook. Always. If you want to keep TC on, the MP4's are ok. I've had NT555R's and NT555RII's as well. The II's are better than the first edition but not as consistent as the MT's with TC off.

I ran a 10.86 at 130.5 last night with 20" MT's and TC off. I forgot to mess with it on my 3rd run and ran an 11.4 @ 126 with TC on. Same 60' in both cases but I could tell the car was pulling timing with TC on.

Mickey Thompson ET-R's if you push any power and want to put it down.
Any tips for the ET-Rs? Im making like 750 but they seem to not hook and they start looking like this. I think indy500s actually hook better than my et-r's for some reason. At least on the street. I have them at 20 psi hot.

Try dropping pressure some. Mickey Thompson recommends 14-18 psi.
The feathering like that is from regular street driving, just gripping uneven surface. If you plan to get aggressive with the car, a good burnout will clear them up and make them sticky again. Just realize doing this all the time shortens lifespan a bit 😂

I run 16# in my 315/50/17 Street R's at 850rw. Not any spin at the strip, and virtually none on the street, even from a dig.

If you are trying to go fast in a straight line with TC off (without the car pulling timing), or a curve for that matter, there are not many summer tires that are going to help with 650whp. You need 888r’s or a good drag radial. I got 6000 miles out of my 555r2’s. Best 60’ was a 1.7. Will let you know how 20” MT street S/S do this weekend.
Dumb question but what tires are you running up front? The nittor r2s all around?

I have G2's up front when running my 20's and MP4's when running my 19's. I have DR's in both sizes for the rears. The G2's have about 15,000 miles on them or so and still look good. The MP4's have about 10k miles and look good as well. The G2's have been on two cars over the last 4 years.

I've read a lot of posts about tire brands and tire sizes used on supercharged cars and it seems that other than with drag radials wheel spin remains an issue. I've got a 2017 PP with a Roush Phase 2 and am wondering if dropping the money for wider rims is worth it? My car is a dd and I don't track the car. I'm running the Michelin Pilot Sports and will probably stick with them even if I go bigger.
I'm in the same situation you're in. Same year car, same supercharger and daily driver. What I did was buy a pair of eleven inch rims from American Muscle and a pair of 305/35 /19 R2's to run late spring and summer. I put the rear 275/40/19's on the front. Since summers coming to an end I just swapped out the R2's on the rear for G2's. The American Muscle rims look very much like stock but have two less spoke sets. I'm very happy with the setup and the R2's really hook up.
AMR Gloss Black Wheel; Rear Only; 19x11 (15-22 Mustang GT, EcoBoost, V6)Good luck.

I ran 305/35 /19 R2vs this spring and summer. Just had the R2s pulled off and G2's put on for fall and winter. I'm running the 275's on the front and the balance of the car is fine with that setup. These are the wheels I'm running on the rear. The R2s are great.

Nitto has actually taken this into consideration, as it was mentioned the NT555 RII's are the drag radial designed by Nitto to pair with their G2.

We would also recommend considering this match up if you are looking to put more power down.
