I am also in need of new tires soon, since the PP tires are really only good to about 20k, im at 18k and they are def slipping a Lot these days.

no way im payinb 1600 bucks for another set of the super sports; so i found these online, some Federals that have a pretty bitchin tread pattern. anyone have any thoughts / experience with these?

Not so sure I'd put $100 no name tires on my stang, even if the tread pattern is 'bitchin'

Take a look at the General AS-05. Made by Continental and is a UHP A/S tire. I switched to these on my PP1 when it started getting cold and I have zero regrets. I might not even worry about putting the MPS4s back on in the spring. Check Amazon for pricing, I was able to get the rear tires for less $$ than Discount Tire.

That's true...someone else steered us that way. Good catch.

By the way I looked up Federal Tire. Interesting. Not for me as I believe when it comes to tires only the best will do. But not everyone does that.

Federal Tire was founded in Taiwan in 1954. Technical cooperation with Bridgestone Corporation from 1960-1979 and with Sumitomo Rubber Industries (Dunlop Tires) from 1981-2000 has given Federal the necessary and strong technical capabilities and know-how to produce our own brand tires today – Federal Tires. Today, Federal has established a strong network of overseas distributors with more than 182 national/regional representatives throughout 121 countries.

I'll settle for the next best or so, but not the middle of the pack or lower...just got some conti's for my wife's DD.

When I had to put tires on my 15EB my choice was between the DSW 06 and A/S3+. I consider both Conti’s and Michelin to be “best” level tires. I picked the Michelin’s because at the time the price was better.
