In terms of foam applicators, I like to use something with a barrier to prevent getting the product on your hands, something a circular wax applicator does not usually have
i really need to stop reading your write up posts, going to cost me a fortune!

always found it a bit fiddly to use the big round foam hand applicator that i got with the dressing. But like the look of your selection there

Am I the only one who moves their car forward or backward about 42" in order to get the tire shine even for the spot that used to be at the bottom?

OCD with detailing can be fun actually...!!!

 :giggle:

With the round foam applicators, the lack of a firm part to hold onto, it makes them less ergonomic to use as tire dressing applicators. The ones I showed have a nice firm part to grab onto allowing an easier application.

So, I have been trying out Chemical Guys VRP a bit lately as well, displayed here on my Ranger.

I really like how this applies, spreading easily and evenly, offering just enough sheen.

I've been using these foam applicators from Chemical Guys for tire shine as long as I can remember.

And no, I don't move the car a few inches <smiling> to get the bottom of the tires. I most assuredly suffer from OCD but I'm not THAT obsessive. <bigger grin> These things get darn close without moving the vehicle.

Edit: Forgot to add, they are also excellent for the small tire to wheel area of the bead.

I agree. Just tried the VRP today, and found it very easy to apply. Granted, it's not a wet look, but I only tried one coat. Maybe another coat will add more sheen. But simplicity is what I prefer, and so far VRP fits that description.

VRP doesn't sling at all. But, if your clothes, shoes, etc., rub against the tire, you will get some black marks on them. Guess how I know? Everytime I clean/wax my hood, I end up with a slight mark on the front of my pants.

Another VRP user here. Very easy to apply and adjust the "shine and slickness" to your liking. Over the weekend, I wanted to try out applying VRP with a Detailers Brush. Again, easy to apply, just a little to shiny for my liking.

I waited a few minutes before taking a MF Applicator and buffing off the excess from each of the tires.

I really want to try Car Pro Perl in the near future.

Groove, I actually like how that VRP shines on your tires.
