Maybe they are using DI at WOT as opposed to PI? That should allow you to run leaner, get more aggressive with the timing and dial in the Injection Timing all of which could be putting it very close to MBT.

Well, I'm sure an Aussie magazine will put one on their dyno......

In the meantime I asked the question on their Facebook page, if this was on E85 and they replied "Hi Paul, consistently achieved using 98RON Premium Fuel"

That is good for us in EU as we are running 98 RON as well.

But I still believe that is crank nbrs and not at the wheels

Oh, yeah, my assumption was this is at the crank........which is what the manufacturer claims are (ie 460hp stock).

From reading a few reviews, the '15-'17 Tickford's were well received in Australia with quotes along the lines of "this is how it should have come from the factory". Looking forward to some reviews of the '18.

It would appear that Tickford Australia is related via management buyouts etc to Tickford from Newport Pagnel of Aston Martin and Ford Capri turbo fame. If they really have got this out of the My18 then I will be eating my hat and upgrading to a MY 18 with their tune I guess.

Not believing this this until I see third party dyno. I know Tickford is reputable but this seems surreal. If it’s true hot damn.

FYI, Tickford do have access to engine dyno cells via their racing team department. These were also used for calibration work on Falcon GT engines.

I have not seen any numbers close to this on 93 even at the crank

Yep, it's the same company, albeit in a very different location now! I've posted on their FB page that they need to offer their cars in the UK (especially if this tune is for real). There are probably enough people who remember the Tickford Capri for the name to mean something over here (although they also built the Ford Racing Puma).

Peak on factory is at 7000 rpm because they do the run in 5th gear and it hits the maximum safe speed at 7000rpm, which causes the ignition / fuel shutoff. Likely they removed the RSS or upped it.
What are you smoking? This car is a 2018 GT that revs to 7500 RPM.......

It never fails...if a member posts a HP/TQ number then tons of disbelievers jump in and say "What's it run in the 1/4" because "only trap speeds show true gains"

97 RON is 93 AKI in the USA.
98 RON is 94 AKI

So it's higher octane than the USA's highest grade fuel. I wouldn't be surprised if it was V-Power Nitro, too, making it potentially closer to 95 AKI. With a very high octane fuel and variable valve timing? Yeah, I can absolutely believe that 80hp is available.

It won't rev to 7500 if it hits the top speed limiter @ 7000rpm in 5th gear.
