Thought someone may be interested in one of these. These three are the first used GT500s that I have seen actually below their MSRP in the last 3-4 months. Though two are showing as lemons.

$76,946 - appears to be a lemon buyback

$76,976 - showing clean 1 owner history

$79,979 - lemon buyback

I noticed those cars earlier today as well. First time I've seen a GT500 for sale starting with 7. Two Lemon buybacks....ouch. Were the GT500s prone to being basket cases in the beginning? That must've been very frustrating to the original owner.

It is going to be interesting to see if prices are going down. I read a finance article this morning discussing the reckoning that's coming in regards to the car market in 2023 or so. Hope it's not too painful.

I would not buy even an oil change from these guys. Buyer beware of Huntley Ford!!! Not relevant to this thread, but when the time came for my car, I bought it at Victor Ford in Wauconda, Illinois,,,,

Yup, then threads of Ford not holding any resale value will start, because it would not be from the bad decision of paying msrp or msrp+atm. It be Ford builds crap. and value tank .

They’ve had a couple very low mileage 350’s for lower than market prices recently too. No experience with them but the 350’s had clean carfaxes. Doesn’t mean oasis was clean, Carfax will typically catch the lemon or buy back transactions though.

How can you tell it's a lemon buy back?

Thats convenient
We don't have lemon laws here unfortunately for cars, so it's buyer beware

That being said they're asking the same price for a lemon car vs non lemon????

Glad someone beat me to the chase on this one. I actually went to see one of their GT500's in person as I live in the area. Specifically, this one: Used 2020 Ford Mustang For Sale at Huntley Ford | VIN: 1FA6P8SJ7L5499984 (fordhuntley.com)

The car is originally Grabber Green, but they put a wrap on it, because "it wasn't selling due to the color". First red flag. Then I found the car has almost 10k miles (not the 6,681 advertised, interesting they still haven't updated it). The best part, when I got their final out the door price, they have another almost $10k in added costs that they hide as "used car upkeep". Out the door price was $105k. They finally admitted part of that cost was putting the wrap on the car (that they chose to do, again, because it wasn't "selling well"). Either way they flat out refused to remove the hidden costs or even budge on it.

Ended up buying a new 2021 GT500 for less than their out the door price. Never buy from Huntley Ford. Bunch of clowns.

I have also had a bad experience with them. Called to confirm availability, the internet price was lower than the actual price, wouldn’t budge.

I thought dealers are supposed to disclose that it is a buyback and show you all the paperwork on what it was bought back for?

Knowing that's not an original factory colour so looking a bit closer at the photos, there is a handful of them that show the lime peeping through.

That's not to say that they couldn't have shown it more realistically though, a full view open door / hood / trunk photo (i.e. like a normal sales advert) would have shown it clearly rather than try to hide it on the photos they have taken - it's not like it wouldn't have been obvious when you turn up to view it ... :frown:

They don't mention it on the advert text either, but at least they link the window sticker that gives the original spec.

Here's a thought, maybe the cars are not selling because they are filthy and photos look like they used a camera from the 90s. It could just be me, but if I'm selling a high performance vehicle for $70k+ it's going to be spotless when taking pics to advertise it. Reading some of the previous replies, sounds about par for the course with this dealership.
