I just installed a Roush axle back exhaust and I'm wondering if the bolts in the 2 clamps need Threadlocker to be sure that they won't get loose from vibration. Same query goes for catbacks and axle backs of other brands. Thanks!

I'm sure it will help. I'm thinking about having my Roush AB welded in for the best seal.

Locktite is good up to 300F. Can't imagine fasteners for clamps back at the muffler are going to get any hotter than that.

That being said in my 40 years of being a hot rodder I have never had an exhaust clamp that the fasteners have loosened, usually have to cut them off or they break when loosening.

Loctite Green 290 is good to 300°. Don't even have to disassemble. Green 294 high-temp is good to 450°.

That is all...

You don't need loctite on exhaust clamps
