The Hellcat has a "killer chiller" type system OEM. Food for thought.

The description says it can be installed with basic hand tools but I thought you had to evacuate and refill the ac system to install this?
Definitely an advanced install and yes you have to evacuate, recover and refill the refrigerant.

I thought that was only the Demon.. Not the stock Hellcat.

(edited because the Redeye has the same system as the demon. Stock Hellcat does not)

getting mine installed this week at the Roush dealer. $1800 plus $750 installed. I will let you know. I’m in south ( hot as hell) Florida. It’s better than nothing. It’s worth the try and besides, it will be better for the health of the motor regardless.

Jack SR says it was showing the heat pouring out of the vents in the fenders and wheel wells during tests with special equipment. Cooler is better because heat robs you blind. Nothing is perfect on a supercharged motor.

Sorry, I don't have any choice other than to steal the thread for a moment with couple questions:
1) how do you like the upper grille so far? Is it working well with the supercharger's cold air intake? Looking at the pictures from internet, it seems that the whole side of the grill around intake filter is blocked out plastic. Is this the case or does it have some small cutouts?
2) your lower grille - is this just stock one with honecomb trimmed out or is this an aftermarket one?

Hi all,

I'd like to know everyone's thoughts on the ROUSH MAX COOLING UPGRADE? Anyone on here have it? How do they like it and was it worth the extra $2G's plus install.. All replies are welcome and greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks Anthony

There are some good articles on the internet that discuss the pros and cons of Meth, NO2, ice boxes and interchillers for lowering manifold air temperature on boosted set-ups. I found one article that discussed how to use these in combination, and what one would expect in terms of their lowering effect on post-boost manifold air temperature.

The Roush kit you are looking at is not available for my Roush 2.3 SC set-up (Coyote 2 engine), and I would otherwise be more inclined toward the other solutions I cited, which I sense as providing more bang for the buck, and which are not as intrusive to require putting a sawzall to one's car's body panels.

...sorry...shooting from the hip here...I haven't put a tremendous amount of research into this

Hi, Love the upper grille, the way it looks and performs. Its a whole lot better than the stocker, in my opinion. The roush grille is completely open to outside air with less restrictions. I am looking to remove the AGS system soon, Its pointless. The CAI on the roush phase 2 blower is a closed unit and it mounts to fully open area on the grille. It works great!
My lower grille is from Lethal perfromance, its a stocker with the honeycomb cutout. I really wanted the ROUSH splitter, (In the futire). For right now, I have opened up front end to as much airflow as possible over stock, so all is good.
Thanks Anthony

I didnt want to tinker with all the other interchiller systems, and wanted to keep my warranty w ford and roush, my car is a 2021 with only 9k miles. Lots of warranty left, once it ends than i will maximize HP and cooling with the aftermarket. Roush is very conservativce with the tunes, blower pullies etc. These cars can maximize the power and be better performers, 1000%.. But for now, I was looking for a boost in power level with a factory warranty! Roush fit the bill for me.
Thanks Anthony

Thanks, interesting. I have the same CAI and supercharger, but somehow I thought that the opening for air in CAI box is behind the triangle area of the grille, that is blocked off. If that is not the case, then it's all good. At the end of the day, roush grille should work with roush CAI. Thanks for confirming that.
