Thoughts? Looking at adding fog lights to the center grill

So like the title states, I'm looking in to adding fog lights to the center grill similar to a 1967 GT350. Looking for a wire mesh grill to replace the plastic honeycomb grill inserts and cut out a circular hole for a set of fog/driving lights, possibly amber colored,

Not a great pic of what I'm considering doing but a simple rendition.

What are your thoughts?

Not feeling it as the round lights look nothing like the sleek current headlight shape (it worked in the 60s as they were all round) not to mention is obstructing direct airflow into the radiator. Removing the blocking plate will help but every little bit counts with a high compression ratio normally aspirated engine.

resist the urge. People - especially Mustang enthusiasts seem to have a desire to change something to make it "theirs". I appreciate that but anything that isn't "motorsport", almost never works out and looks tacky.

Thanks gents. Absolutely right, I did ask. You guys bring up solid points. I'm looking at the glaring deficit that ford did not include a fog light on the GT350. Maybe a lower profile amber fog light in the lower valence from Rigid Industries would look better?

You would be messing with the airflow. A lot of thought went into the restrictor plate and the air required to keep the cooling correct. Next try pricing out a replacement grill once you decide to go back. Third think about the value that you are taking away from a finely engineered vehicle for some crazy idea.

^^^^ Agreed. Do this instead. It looks sleeker, and you don't obstruct valuable airflow.
