Do you have any regrets at all moving to the GT500? I'm at a point where I'm really on the fence. Looking daily nationwide to see what's out there, but the crazy ADMs are still really off-putting.

Then I wake up today, head to work, and wind it out to 8250 a couple times on the way (luckily my commute allows that), and I wonder "am I going to miss this more than I'd love a GT500?"

Looking for honest feedback from those who've made the switch!

My CFTP GT500 is supposedly in transit to my dealer and I am fighting this battle in my head constantly. I absolutely love my GT350R and it is a blast to drive. It is not the fastest car but it is so well balanced and easy to drive on the street plus the sound is phenomenal from the FPC. Ive always said I'd have a manual transmission car too but as more tongue in cheek (I can always get another mustang or sports car with 3 pedals)

Ive never driven a 2020+ GT500 on the street but I have had one for a short time on the track at the Shelby track tour last year. It is an insanely capable car for its weight and was a blast to drive. My car will see 99% street use and the 500 is a lot for the street but will be fun no doubt. Trading my 350R would save me a hell of a lot of money that I would otherwise have to take from some savings but I can afford what I allocated for a payment as my R is paid off. However the trade in would save me the cash + sales tax savings.

What I am thinking about doing is keeping both for a year or so and selling off one after I decide which I like more since it is financially an option for me. I did not buy my 350R for its monetary value later on, but I wonder if I get rid of it, could it be the one that got away later on? Of course its speculation but a thought that I think about. I always said I'd keep my 350R, but the 500 has put some hard decisions against that statement.

No regrets. The 350R is still fun to putz around in though.

Feel free to completely ignore my input as I've never owned nor driven a 350 nor a 500 but personally, as a track car, I'd much rather have a 3700 lb car than a 4200 lb one.
Tires already don't last long on normal 3800 lb mustangs. One day use tires on a 4000+ lb car interest me very little.

I like to disassemble things.
I'd much rather have a 3000lb car than a 3700lb one. Fantasy land aside, the behemoth gets the job done in ways the vibration monster can't. If you haven't experienced it, you honestly just don't know.

I only missed rowing the gears here and there. The power of the 500 and not having that no torque feeling while driving around town will help you get over it. Biggest driving difference I felt was in the front ends. The 350’s front end felt lighter to me.

I switched from a 2017 GT350 to a 21 500 last fall and after 1,400 miles I am 100% glad I did. The 500 is an awesome car and, after attending Track Attack last week, can tell you that its as capable as the 350 in the hands of a novice like me (torque makes up for a lot!)

I would do it again in a second.

I had a 16 GT350 which we eventually put a Whipple on. The 2020 GT500 in stock form in my opinion is a way better car in all aspects. Our 2020 GT500 CFTP is unreal. We eventually put a Whipple on the GT500 and it put me into the 8's. Car drives great on the street and the DCT is a hell of a transmission.

Verdict: The 2020+ GT500 is the car to have.

it seems like even though it is stupid heavy unlike the hellcat al that weight went into technology making the rocketship better instead of just throwing a giant motor in an old heavy chassis.

I came out of my 17 GT350 to my 21 GT500. No regrets. Yes, I do miss the sinister exhaust sound I had with the GT350 and Kooks headers, but I can set that up on my GT500. The power. My god the power. It is truly a night and day difference.

As far as rowing gears, playing with the paddles are fun too! Makes you feel like you're playing Gran Tourismo.....for real.
