I'm disappointed.
Just seems like nothing more than a dressed up Bullitt that's all.
The Auto is nice, but 480 hp!
Should be at least 500 hp

It has quite a lot more things going for it compared to the bullitt though.

However it all comes down what the car is to be used for, for drag racing then no big difference.
For corner carving it will most likely be a rather big difference when you look at the differences

I’m sorry but I just don’t get the horsepower issue. Everyone is getting bent out of shape over a difference of less than 0.5%. And that’s at the crank. Get real. 480/500 means nothing. It sounds better but that’s about it.

Also, it appears many of you are having a problem with the English language. Do we know what the word “projected” means? The car is still 7-10 months away. Let’s all take a chill pill and wait until the final number is released.

They should have given this thing the GT350 heads cams and intake and a flex fuel key where you can bring it up to about 550 crank HP and offer it with the A10 and maybe a limited number of tremac 6 spds
This. Or some such combination. Some meaningful power bump would have been the ticket, at least for me. A nice, catchy sounding 505, perhaps. Sigh.

The one thing they absolutely nailed with this thing is the front end. It fixes everything I dislike about the '18+ front clip. Bravo.

I see your point but IMO it doesn't move the needle enough for me to get excited about it.

The GT 460 hp
The Bullitt 480 hp
What's next .... lol

It's a Mustang so yes hp matters but you're dead on about the "projected" part maybe they will surprise us.

The dealers won't, I don't even think Ford UK have a clue about it
They get confused with the Mach E, bless

I wonder what's deleted: A/C, rear seat, & other weight reduction items.... but looks great! I have to weigh it against my 2019 Bullitt to see if I'd upgrade..

the F150 version of the Coyote is flex-fuel. It would take trivial effort to E85 the Coyote3 with a flex-fuel map. If they could tack on 500 RPM that would probably gain 10 or so HP. A useless and pointless increase but it would shut the 'but 480' whingers up.

HAHAHAHA I did send to another dealer he replied

"we don't know when the Mach E will come......."

I replied back no not interested in the Mach E, I am interested in the Mach 1"

He replied back "ahh ok you mean the Bullitt...."

I wanted to reply "for fuck sake man..." but didn't

Only a few things that I wish they had done different:

1. Optional Shaker Hood. I get the "aero" part, but when I think Mach 1, I think Shaker Hood.
2. Unique Wing instead of recycling the GT350/GT500 wing.
3. Would have been nice to see a slight bump in power, but I get using the Bullitt motor as it is going to be global.

Overall though, if I was in the market for another Mustang, this would be my choice.

Will the F150 work with E85? Just wondering.
