I think Ford addressed many of the shortcomings and complaints with this car. Like others, I would have liked to have seen more HP. Maybe 500-520hp range, but the overall package is solid. Adding the Tremec from the GT350 was very smart along with offering a 10 speed auto which will appeal to many buyers.

I like this car better than the Bullitt.

I am not a fan of the front end or the rear wing IMHO.

Having said all that, I am glad I bought my GT350 late last year (I bought a 2018 with 1400 miles that has the Recaro's and electronics package for $49K).

Very well done. This looks awesome. Love the wheels, orange calipers, tremec transmission, coolers, aero, I mean this while this is just well done. Great job Ford. I want one

I think it loos awesome! And the addition of the GT350 transmission is great! But its all gonna depend on price.

Will it beat a 1LE around a track for a similar price:question:

The cream coloured one looks amazing. Brilliant as well that you can only get the handling package with stick shift, keeps the posers who can't row their own gears away!

One thing that bothers me A LOT is the glossy upper grill and matte lower grills. Looks like they won’t be interchangeable either,

I too have mixed feelings about this new Mach 1. They have done a lot with the parts that were available to them so no argument there. But after 17 years I was really expecting something to "knock your socks off". It just feels as if they were approaching the finish line and stopped just short. This being said I'm sure the orders will start to roll in as soon as the books open and the dealers are already figuring out were the ADM's should be. Price wise, those of us thinking $55k-$60K are probably right in the ballpark.

Very meh, would rather buy a used gt350 or SS 1LE. Looks very tacky IMO

At least Ford pulled their head somewhat outta their ass and put a tremec and various coolers on it for track use.

Yes maybe that would be the case.
Just wondering how that plays out if the Mach 1 is limited run car?

I wouldn't be surprised if Ford plays this like Camaro played the ZL1 1LE and SS 1LE. Both were launched with 6MT only and then added the 10AT later.

Reusing the Bullitt engines actually gets my hopes up for a EU model, since we already have the Bullitt here and homologated to EU standards.

I really love what Ford did here. Of course it's pretty much reusing Shelby and PP2 parts, but overall the package looks awesome to me. If they bring an EU model, it would actually get me thinking, but guess the price will be near GT350

It's not even that. The cooling demands for the 10R80 on a road course are immense.

As the GT350 are not officially sold hear I have never tried the Tremec box. Must be great!

Really like shift feel in my MX-5. But I want what gives the most performance and in this case would be the A10 however only in the "track pack" version though


Even with that. @Flyhalf knows.

The MX5 is cable-actuated is it not?
"most performance" is simply a matter of gearing. And only useful in a straight-line context which negates the need for the 'handling pack' by definition.

I have a TR3160 in the garage that I have been waiting to swap into my 15 and I have been researching adding coolers and the GT500 swing and Gurney flap. The Mach 1 gives as factory options, albeit for probably $30k more than what I have in my 15 including the modifications and swaps.

Damn, for a second when I read 12.3 inch LCD, I thought a new larger center console screen in my brain. Then I looked at interior photos and remembered the digital dash I have in my own car. Interested in the upgraded oil coolers and the whatever the "upgraded" torque converter for the A10 is???
