Based on the pics, I don’t think you would rub. You could always mark the tire with white shoe polish or a dial-in-marker and make a couple of hits to see if the marking gets disturbed. A quick way to check before buying new springs and putting them on (may save time and money).

Picked up a set of forgelines that were priced too good to pass up (with MT's). I'm going to try to bring the car up a hair to not sit to low (these are 29" tall). I can also have the hub shaved about 5mm but I'd rather not do that if raising it will resolve the issue. And having the ability to swap out springs for my street/track setup and these is nice. With the coil overs, it looks like I can probably swap drag pack for street setup in about 30 minutes if I get it down and hustle.
If you can knock them out in 30 min. or so, it won’t be too bad.

I can't risk it. I have PPF covering the entire car and even the slightest rub and I'm into hundreds-thousands in addressing messed up PPF edges.

I'm going to raise it and others have said that should work. I may even pay $100/wheel to have them shaved a bit to pull in, just to be safe.

But I'm looking forward to running a 29" beadlock tire on 18" on softer springs, then spend 30 minutes and swap them out to 19x11.5 30 series on proper springs and height. Best of both worlds. I picked up Eibachs for $62/each, so I grabbed a pair of 800's and a pair of 1000's. Updating the springs is about $125 a pair from that point, so lots of flexibility.

The front isn't quite as convenient, you have to add/remove spacers plates, but once you have it down, it takes about 30 minutes to adjust each side (for height). Haven't contemplated swapping out the fronts but time would be about the same.

AJ makes pretty good/innovative stuff.

Have you been able to make any 1/4 mile hits with the Whipple?

Nope, nearest track shut down and closest 1/4 drag strip is 3.5 hours away. Might be able to do some artificial dragy measurements on it in the future, but with tinkering with the car and such and the heat, I just haven't done any standing rips.

What did AJ suggest? What are your fronts?

I have the 400s on the front of my car, and the rears are ~850. I would probably do the 900s, I feel like the rear really likes a softer spring, but there is a school of thought that more spring in the rear is better. I don't know that I agree, but I've only driven a couple S550's with 1200 lb springs in the rear. I didn't personally like it, but I also didn't get enough seat time to really get comfortable with it either.

Sorry, I realize my opinion doesn't help much.
How close to stock ride height are you with the 400 fronts? Did you have to use any spacers?

About the rear. I am actually tempted to try 800 since I feel the same about the stiff rear on this car.

Ahh, it's lower, but I am also running 30 profile tires. The 400 lb springs do make the car sit lower, but you can shim it back up. I think I have at least a full 1/4" shim up front, but I would have to look. I know I can add another 3/4" of shim on mine, and I have some 3D printed shims specifically so I can get the car on the trailer easier. So there is room to add more.

You can also contact AJ. He is somewhat active on this site, and also active on TMO. Or just email him through his website, he has always gotten back to me within a day, and been great to work with.

I think it depends on what you're using for a rear bar. I'm on the Steeda Dual Rate spring and compeition swaybar setup and it uses a small bar but the rear springs are like 1200lb/in. The previous Ford Racing spring setup was a bigger bar and a softer rear spring. For dual purpose the softer spring bigger bar setup may be better and will certainly give better ride quality.

I have the Steeda sways, so I think the rear is 1". I'm gonna try out both sets of springs, the good news is it's not that expensive to go firmer or softer on the springs. About $130 a pair.
