Is it just the convertible that has the windows drop a quarter inch every time you open the door... and then pop back up after the door is closed?

My coupe does this as well.Is it just the convertible that has the windows drop a quarter inch every time you open the door... and then pop back up after the door is closed?
They all do it to stop the windows getting damaged. Most frameless car doors do it including my Lotus. If they don't the seals have to be very compromised and usually leak waterIs it just the convertible that has the windows drop a quarter inch every time you open the door... and then pop back up after the door is closed?
Okay you guys are going to LOL at this one..... I told my GF the other day there's a red light on the windshield that flashes across whenever I start the car. I told her I was pretty sure it must be a shift light for one of the driving modes like Track Mode or something. And how cool I thought that was....... I $hit you not /facepalm. SMHI just recently learned I have a head's up display in my car warning me as I'm about to get in head-on collision. Purpose to let me die with a smile and look of wonderment on my face, perhaps?
You'll be lucky if they know how to rotate the tires. Even some "reputable" tire shops don't know how (DT for one).Took my car in to the dealer for an oil change/tire rotate. The service manager told me they couldn't find my key for the locking lug nut, (safe and secure package item) but they found one to fit. I told him it was with the owners manual. He said he couldn't find that either. He didn't know about the extra compartment in the glove box for the manual. I'll think twice about taking the car there for anything major!
Depends on the design. the Escort ZX2 is a frameless design and I have never seen anyone mention leaking on those forums and in some cases the cars are 20+yrs old now and daily drive/non garage kept. Normally if the window auto goes down its to make sure the window glass clears something while moving to prevent damage. They all do it to stop the windows getting damaged. Thanks LOLY'all must have tiny heads. My sunglasses don't come close to fitting in the "sunglasses holder".
This just goes to show you sales people do not show all the bells and whistles when taking delivery.I was disappointed that there wasn't a trunk release button until I saw it while installing the exhaust. I had also been using the fob until then.
It really bothers me that you can’t do the same thing with the lock button and roll the windows upIf you press the unlock button on the FOB twice and hold it down on the second press, the windows will go down.
