damn. I hate that for you dude. I get mine tomorrow and I hope I have better luck. For the price the quality is sickening. Ports arent even all the way through.
do you know what the height of the intake is at the highest point behind the throttle bodyFor the price the quality is sickening. Ports arent even all the way through.
My plenum hangs over my runners, but I’m getting a little older so that’s kind of to be expected…It almost looks like the plenum hangs over the runners a little bit, so its quite possible it will sit a little lower.
The measurement that is requested is 9”(+/-1/16”) at the highest point behind the throttle body.do you know what the height of the intake is at the highest point behind the throttle body
The original version was crap too. Seems like the boss and CJ have similar build quality. The oem mustang and truck manifold quality seems much better. When I watched the video of the dude unboxing one before they went on sale, the build quality of that unit he was unboxing was crap.
Anyone know if this is higher, lower, or the same as the older one?The measurement that is requested is 9”(+/-1/16”) at the highest point behind the throttle body.
This is the point that is closest to the hood. This measurement was taken from the cylinder head mounting surface(intake port surface) to the top of the intake manifold.
Original version states 9” at the front and 10” at the rear. In videos I’ve seen you have to cut the back of the hood (towards) windshield on Gen 2 but gen 3 it’s the center section on the hood if you don’t wanna drop the motor a bit. I have a gen 2 and will be ordering one once these first production runs get through and they hopefully iron out some QC issues. I’ll make a post on install if none are out by that time.Anyone know if this is higher, lower, or the same as the older one?
