Oddly, the hideaways on my '67 Cougar still work flawlessly, most do not....
Mine always worked to open them, but they'd never close on their own. One of the diaphragms has/had a leak. Someday I'll either refurbish them or go to electric, but for now I just pulled them out and manually open and close them. My parents had a '67 that would close the lights if you stepped on it for too long.

No (I had to Google that), but when I saw the pic it reminded me of the hours and miles spent in the back of a 1970 Ford Country Squire with my brother who is 4 years younger. That wagon had the popular woodgrain sides with plastic wood trim. Just like this one:

Yesss!
My Dad had the Chevrolet version of this.... same color and woodgrain. 1973 Kingswood Estate.
My brother and I thought it was pretty trick that the back window rolled up inside the headliner and the tailgate rolled down into the floor, just by turning the key.

As a 5th grader, I watched this show every afternoon on an independent station, channel 43 out of Cleveland. Had to get the antenna just right to tune in. This show was followed by Speed Racer.
