So, which do you prefer as a dd ? Torn between buying a 500 now or waiting a year for a Z06.

Just to be clear, I have a GT350R and not a GT500 although I've driven one and thought long and hard as to whether I wanted it or the C8. The C8 won out, especially since I plan to keep my GT350R long term.

The C8 is insanely nice and comfortable for the price and it's definitely my first pick for DD. The interior is leather wrapped, the stereo is one of the best factory car stereo's I've ever heard, and it just feels rich. With mag ride it's a dream to drive also. The only downside, if it is one for you, would be that it sits lower to the ground and is a little tougher to get in and out of. It's no big deal for me.

If I had to get rid of one, the R would absolutely stay though. :)

96 cobra. I agree a C8 with mag ride can easily be a DD. Just hit the Z bottom on the weekend. Most dealerships have their 2021 orders filled already. Since the 2020 production was cut short by 15,000 units . Those people that ordered a 2020 were moved into 2021 orders. sure in time there will be lots of C8 on the road. You still won’t see one on the street for some time to come. I be honest this car is more fun then the 05 Ford GT I owned. It puts down the power like no other car I’ve owned. Ok flame away If you must. Just calling it like I see it.

I bought my C8 for MSRP and only had to call one dealer. Most if not all the large dealers have sold their new C8's at MSRP. The only people paying ADM are the ones buying from small dealers or the ones that didn't order their cars like everyone else or the guys buying used. If you "have to have it now" then be prepared to pay up. Ordering a C8 at MSRP from any of the big dealerships throughout the country is easy.. just be prepared to wait your turn.

I can't say that for my GT350 or GT350R.. I had to call 50+ dealers and still paid ADM on my R.

That being said, I couldn't imagine paying an ADM for a GT500.

Not completely true. in DC metro, most dealers have ADM on Vettes. and very few in stock.

More C8s on the road right now even after the RONA 2020 year than there ever will be GT500s

that said - when I get my 2021 GT 500, on which I traded my C7 Z06... it’s a place holder for the some day to be released eRay C8...

just a great time to be into cars IMHO!

If your'e in the market for a C8, look on EBay. There's 128 listed for sale and most are used. (most with ADMs) Why so many used C8s if they are so sought after? I get the speculators but that can only account for a few I'd think.

I was surprised when I clicked on used on Autotrader. They got a summer car and now want to sale for profit. One local dealer has 50K ADM. Crazy.
I have seen 2 at a car show and a few on the road.
Never seen 500 on the road, just at car shows.

I've seen a few C8's on the road here, and a few 500s as well. The bread and butter of the muscle car world right now lol

The cars in dealer stock are going to have a markup. Those are typically msrp orders that a customer backed out on, and of course once it becomes dealer stock in the current market the dealer is going to slap an ADM on it. Almost all the people that ordered the C8 paid sticker price.

I just got word that the last 2020MY GT500 rolled off the line this morning. It might not be the last "produced" or "released", but it was the last one made. VIN L5505904.

People will be working at the plant through next week to try and get cars pushed out before the holidays.

We built the last GT350 the other day. We're still building the GT500. Your friend either misspoke or doesn't know what he/she is talking about.
I tend to believe what @Snoopy49 posts. He said the last one made. So some could still be getting work done but the last one made is the last one made????

I am not doubting you I was just pointing out @Snoopy49 has provided a ton of accurate information on this site. That's all.
