If you like cars, and like Ford's, chances are you like V8's too, this video is a must watch.

Something that I find fascinating is how the current Ford CEO, Jim Farley, fully understands the importance of the V8 and its meaning to Ford customers. He spends his spare time on the racetrack racing various V8 Ford's, a true car guy.

One of the best half-hours I'll have in my day today. Now I'm ready to get behind the wheel this morning.

Life without a V8 is no life at all. Long live the V8.

If I had the money, it would be a Demon 170 in my garage next to a 64 tri power GTO like I used to own.

I tend to agree and hope the V8 sticks around in the Mustang for the life of the brand (it's not just a car anymore :p). I also hope Ford fixes their VCT/Cam Phaser issues before then as well. Being the only American muscle car with a V8 should help sales too. (No one buys a Corvette unless they are empty nesters :))

I actually traded my GT and went a totally different direction. Bought a GR Corolla and will admit, it is way more fun to drive. Even if I am down 5 cylinders and 500hp. :) Corolla is a 3 cylinder turbo with 300hp and AWD. The Mustang had a Roush P2, headers, tune, etc. It was stupid fast but with the HP and drag radials on it year-round, it wasn't a corner carver to me.

Anyway, I traded mine because of the VCT issues. Blew up the motor at 20,000 miles and warranty was denied because of headers. Geico paid $14,000 for a *NEW* (it was not, it was a renewed engine from Ford) and it was never the same after that. The VCT's started acting up within the first 5,000 miles and I didn't have the patience to figure it out on my own. My guess is that the engine was a ford buyback because of VCT issues so they fixed em and sold it. If there wasn't a blower on top of the engine it would have been *easier* but it probably would have kept doing it and I would have had to have fixed the cam phasers.. Not in my driveway....

TLDR:
Thanks for posting the video, very interesting watch. I wasn't really interested in watching it until you spoke nicely about Farley. That was a first on this forum! :)
