God bless America, all 8.4 liters -Randy Pobst
I’m disappointed a Viper sounds like 8.4 liters of garbage truck.

I was invited for a 2 day Bondurant Track event back in 2016 running a T/A 2.0. I’m so glad I attended. WOT in a Gen V in 3 gear sounds like shit, especially at redline. At 5’11”, my helmet was rubbing up against the roof not matter how I positioned the seat. Needless to say, that car was dropped off my short list.
Garbage truck, UPS truck, this is old news. That's the only thing disappointing thing about this car. GT350R is cute, they look good in my rear view mirror on the track or the street.

Im disappointed this car doesnt have more power than a Bugatti chiron.
I'm completely satisfied with what I've seen so far the only lingering concern is weight...my issue is timing and overall cost. If it gets into the mid 80s for carbon Pak it just prices it to close to other options. Plus with the bronco and some other fun stuff on the way the timing is just bad.

With all this talk and excitement, how much ADM are you willing to pay to get the new Top Dog Mustang?

Just like the GT350R adm threads, only a few people admitted they paid adm, most said they paid MSRP (yea right), and some said they paid invoice. LOL

On a separate note, I imagine the prices on the 13/14 GT500 dropping. Nice time to own the previous top dog mustang for less than $40k when the new GT500 hits.

Just for the record I have owned a number of R models (still own a 2018 Base R) and also know many of my other car buddies who all purchased their R models over the years at MSRP as well.

Did the majority of R owners pay MSRP for their cars certainly not for me to say but can confirm that the majority of the crowd that I hang with all paid MSRP for their R's.

Regarding your comments suggesting that the 2013/2014 GT500 prices will be dropping, just curious how you came to that conclusion?:)

With the 2013/2014 GT500's having an MSRP of $54,995 and just 98 HP less than the new 2020 GT500 I would suggest exactly the opposite and would also suggest that some of the 2013/2014 cars may hold their value very well going forward.

Obviously the new 2020 GT500 is going to be a tremendous performing automobile when it comes to braking, cornering, steering, handling and acceleration and will be far superior to the 2013/2014 cars but I also suggest that the price point for the 2020 GT500 will no doubt be substantially higher than $54,995 as was for the previous generation GT500's.

I do not see the 2013/2014 cars dropping in value as you suggest and in fact some pristine and low mileage examples may actually benefit from the launch of the upcoming 2020 GT500 sometime later this Fall.

The carbon fiber track pack is going to cost. The non track pack will be quite reasonable (aside from any ADM).

This subject isn't new nor is it usually productive. ADMs are a fact of life when dealing with a new car that everyone wants.

We can all read the same stuff over and over by stopping by the GT350 ADM thread.
Visited to a couple of Canadian dealers over the weekend first one tells me they have allocation for six of these cars and will be only offering them to existing customers. Their ADM? $30,000.00 Canadian or about $22,000.00USD. The second silent on allocation but says all dealers will be selling with an ADM of $50,000.00 Canadian ( $37,000.00 USD). Selling price from both dealers was in the $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 range in Canadian $ ($89,000.00 - 97,000.00 USD).

Sure glad I got my R at sticker, NOT :cwl::cwl::cwl:

Most Canadian dealers will see about 20 of these cars with 3 being carbon.

The smaller SVT dealers will do 6-7 with one carbon.

The dealers I bought my base 350 and 350R from should see around 27-30 total 500s for the 2020 model year.

This is assuming 500-600 come to Canada.

2016 Shelby GT350, 2017 Ford Focus ST, On Order 2020 CTFP Shelby GT 500 with POTTS. Car is released and awaiting shipment. I am running out of time before having to leave for Japan on July 29th.
I was able to contract an MSRP deal. Just waiting to see what the MSRP will be. Also I don't have any way to know if it will be a track pack allocation or not. I will have to take whatever the dealership can get. It is a small deaelership that will only get one allocation this year. I will also have to travel very far to get the car but doing so is better than a huge ADM. A huge ADM would put the car out of my budget anyway. I don't blame the people who have it where they can pay the ADM and make everything convenient and easy for them to get the car I wish I had money like that.

Yes, this thread is stupid. There is no elephant in the room...... everyone knew there would be ADMs on the new 500.

For those who don't have one, good for you.

If you replaced the horse with me ... and swapped out the dude with my wife ...

Yeah, that was my Friday night.

I guess that explains the mask in your avatar. Was she using a whip? :giggle:

I would suggest that your numbers may be a little on the high side for the base GT500 cars as it is my understanding that the FRAP will build just ~3750 GT500's and ~1250 CFTP cars for all of the U.S., Canada, Mexico along with a few exported to such places in Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Aruba and a few other unusual locations.

Assuming that Canada gets ~10% of these total production numbers (2017 was 10.1% and 2018 was 4.6% for total GT350/R production) that would give Canada ~375 base cars for approximately 35 SVT dealerships in the Great White North therefore ~10 cars on average per dealership with the larger dealerships getting a few more and smaller dealerships getting a few less as you suggested.

When looking at the CFTP cars who knows if America will keep most of these much sought after GT500 CFTP cars.

If Ford of Canada gets ~125 of these cars North of the Border that would be terrific for everyone up there but the ADM's will be ridiculous especially in the Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal markets.

Certainly the Cup 2 tires on the CFTP cars will create a small window of opportunity to send these cars up to Canada and with production not launching until late September or early October I would not expect any Canadian Ford dealerships to see any of these CFTP cars until the Spring of 2020.

:)
