Illegal because Supreme Court said so.Town had to pay back 3 million dollars for illegally citing people.
I'm thinking you meant to put this in this thread.I'd love to see what specifically is unconstitutional. What right is being violated?
Pull over? dontcha know you are supposed to move over and go 99mph instead of doing the speed limit? you are a hazard in speeder eyes, not them. I am being sarcastic, but I know some people here think that. oh and if you get pulled over, its not your fault, you was just flowing with traffic, and the speed limits are unfair....addiction is right.
A few years back when I still read a newspaper, a column was written
about the NCSHP cracking down on the instances of drivers speeding
in excess of 100 mph.
Seemed hefty fines did little to dissuade speeding.
The article went on to say that the instances had increased 157% in
the last few years with no sign of slowing down (no pun intended)
Anyway, in the car, it seems folk want to go as fast as they possibly can.
If we're on a 2 lane road, I'll pull over and let speeders go on by. I try
not to impede anyone, even when we are on the Harley.

I assume prayer for judgement is a deferral, meaning doesnt hit the record if you pay the fines and dont get in trouble for a probationary amount of time. I rarely hear about those given out. Not even sure if my area gives them out....haha!!
Years back my 18 yo niece got pulled for 96 in a 65 zone.
She went to court and they gave her a 'prayer for judgement'.
My brother (her dad) said; "thats just Angel."
She was late for work, so she hit the gas and was REALLY late.
Pretty common in Arizona. I've had 5 tickets (IIRC) in the last 40 years. I beat 4 in court, 1 with an attorney the rest on my own when I saw how to do it. But the other was at a court far up-state and I had doubts about winning (ticket was for passing with an oncoming deputy worried I wouldn't clear the traffic before getting to him. LoL), so I took a class to keep it off the record.I assume prayer for judgement is a deferral, meaning doesnt hit the record if you pay the fines and dont get in trouble for a probationary amount of time. is it up to the judge? or is the court legally required to give you a deferral if you ask for it, assuming your record is clean? just curiousPretty common in Arizona. ...all my Brother told me was they offered it(PFJ) to Angel.is it up to the judge? or is the court legally required to give you a deferral if you ask for it, assuming your record is clean? just curious
I suspect a judge could refuse but it was well known to be available. Could only be done once every x years. I could have done it for the 4 tickets I beat in court since they were so far apart but in those cases I was innocent so not that hard to get the LEO to contradict himself or say things that can't both be true when his story was exaggerated or accidentally or intentionally false. Probably stupid to assume justice would prevail considering all the stories you hear about kangaroo traffic courts. That and testing karma since I had been guilty of other things with no witnesses.
