Yes, but NO nav system can tell about portable patrols with gun-laser which are the MOST critical.
Also as you know OEM Nav are not frequently updated.

I don't replace my antiradar unit with NO Nav system or app in the world.

Folks, sorry for the late reply - for some reason the email alerts werent working and then I forgot my password!

Anyhoo.

The price...... is it worth ā‚¬120k? I suppose it would be if you have millions in the bank, I dont!

However im in the lucky position (via my employer) that I have the right to purchase and run one car completely tax free... :headbang:

Thats means Ive paid ā‚¬35,200 for GT (which I think is even cheaper than in the US). At this sort of money its an absolute no-brainer. The GT is only ā‚¬4k more expensive than the EB when paying net prices.

Its still a decent financial commitment when 98RON fuel is ā‚¬1.50+ per litre and the insurance is ā‚¬160 per month etc etc..... I will be using the car as my daily drive and completing about 20,000kms per year.

I have a 15 months old daughter, and the Mustang is replacing a 2009 Volvo XC90, so quite a change! :eyebulge:

With regard to the Custom pack - I think the design of the wheels really dont suit silver, so I had to have black wheels. Similarly, I wanted some colour in the interior and I really, really like brown leather.... hence the choice!

Its a real shame Ford dont offer the premium leather in other colours :(

I want that employer as well :headbang::headbang::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I also like color interior my favorite is red (which is not provided outside US) but finally I selected the custom pack.
Maybe somewhere in time I'll replace the leathers at a local tapestry shop.

The right? There are no laws or regulations that I know of that can exempt you from paying the 60k CO2 emissions tax (aka BPM) for a car like this. Sure, there's the 'grijs kenteken', but that can only be applied on company transport vans. So basically your employer has to pay this tax and is giving this to you as a present? I wonder how that would work and not screw you over royally in the income tax department. The car's catalog value (which includes the VAT and BPM) counts towards your income. Unless maybe your employer would be paying that too, but why on earth would your employer pay almost 200k to get you a car?

Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing deal. Question is, if there actually IS a legal way to not pay the tax in any shape or form, why isn't everyone abusing this to get V8 sports cars via this route?

Maybe the employer is a global company with headoffices based at another country.
If we asume that the car will be company's property, so every asset is registered under parent company with their regulations and NOT under subciliary. I always believe there are "holes" at every law we can't even think about them.

Anyway, for sure it is AMAZING deal .

Would be illegal to operate a foreign registered vehicle like that up here... But that's no surprise :) (at one point I couldn't legally borrow a car from a Swedish friend and drive it either...)

I'm quite sure every country in europe has regulatioms that allow these kind of admissions. It's basically the same as with cars registered to stationed foreign military personnel or diplomats. These cars get a licence plate from a specific range that is issued for the duration of the stay of that person and allows them to operate the vehicle in our country without having to pay any taxes. I wasn't aware foreign air traffic control was under this regulation as well.

Erwin.... I assure you its possible, and its not a scam!

From Google:

BN/GN KENTEKENPLAAT

For the first 10 years of my habitation in NL, I have the right to a tax-free car. At 9 years 355 days I can purchase one final car and keep it under those privileges for as long as I want, but have no further right to buy a new one. The Mustang is my '10 year car'.

Its essentially the same as a diplomatic CD plate, but without some of the privileges.

They are quite rare, with only about 500 cars in NL using the BN/GN plate, but being in Den Haag im surprised you've not seen one. Its absolutely not a grijs kenteken, my employer pays nothing towards the car.

Heres my current one:

Also, if you ever want to sell the car then you have to pay the Belastingdiesnt/RDW the BPM/BTW but at the daily value.

Example:

My XC90 new price in 2009 was ā‚¬88,000

I paid ā‚¬34,000 tax free

Driven it until now, and requested 'normal' NL licence plates last week, to do so I had to pay ā‚¬7,200 to the belastingdiesnt (ā‚¬4000 bpm / ā‚¬3,200 btw).

The cars/plates arent a scam or a secret, its all available on Google! They are just rare.

Ok, now I understand. I was assuming you were a dutch citizen, so that's where I went wrong.

These rules are typical political bullshit rules, "not for ordinary people". Same as foreign companies hardly have to pay tax here. Stupid shit, made up by politicians who like to have some nice paying job with added benefits after they leave office.

I assume thats probably touched a nerve, which is understandable.

Its been this way for 40yrs - I (and my colleagues) are certainly not 'special' or 'privileged' people, we are just ordinary folk doing a specialised job.... they need to provide decent benefits to attract people from across the world to apply.

If it makes you feel any better I definitely have to pay all the usual taxes on my other cars :( Plus, as a group, we pump a lot of money in to the Dutch economy and are not allowed to take benefits or tax reductions on our mortgage etc, like an ordinary Dutch citizen would.

I hope we can draw a line under that..... this is a car forum after all, not a political one :)

Sure thing. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame you for taking the amazing deal. I just hate politicians in general who make up all this nonsense. I mean how does the CO2 tax help anyway? Oh wow, a tiny speck on the world doesn't drive V8's. Woo hoo, global warming averted! :clap2:

Anyway, congrats on your ride mate.

So it's still true that no one is crazy enough to buy a V8 Mustang in the Netherlands at full price.

You are very lucky :)

Also luckily Germany isn't that far and living just over the bourder keeps traveling time pretty low from and to work, so that's what I'm planning to avoid paying twice as much for the V8
