Going to something much more capable of moving more air more efficiently. What is an upgrade by definition?
I got ya. Most don't optimize what they have, no matter what the combo.Going to something much more capable of moving more air more efficiently.
I 100% agree. Most people don't even understand how it works. But lets not include those people into consideration. I can only speak on my behalf and i maxed my v3 real quick. Upgraded the blowers internals and it has hated life since.I got ya. Most don't optimize what they have, no matter what the combo.
Hey 10speedemon, both the Vortech and the Whipples are great kits. Both have their pros and cons and everyone has their own taste of preference in between the centrifugal and roots type blowers. We can answer and questions you have on either kit here at @LethalPerformance. Please feel free to give us a call and we would be happy to get you taken care of! 1.877.253.8425So I was planning everything out for the Whipple gen 5. Planning on buying it through Beefcake and it should come up to $6800 (stage 1 with oversized heat exchanger). I happen to look at the Vortech pricing too and it came up to almost $5k even. Is anybody else in the same boat?
I'm going to strongly disagree with you on that one as the fastest whipple 18 is on stock converter and cuts low 1.2x 60'sWhipple will need a converter also....
Would be quicker with a converter.I'm going to strongly disagree with you on that one as the fastest whipple 18 is on stock converter and cuts low 1.2x 60's
For .02 off your 60'? Yeah, that's never going to be a justified purchase. The quickest 10r80 car to the 60' cuts a 1.22 to his 1.24. Whipple 3.0 with clutches at 4010 race weight versus a twin turbo/nitrous LPF Car with a converter at 3600 race weight.......Would be quicker with a converter.
Do the Whipple. You won't be disappointed. I wasn't on my '18, and the Shelby will be getting one shortly.According to lethal performance it’s a lot easier to install
Ok sounds good. For .02 off your 60'? Yeah, that's never going to be a justified purchase. The quickest 10r80 car to the 60' cuts a 1.22 to his 1.24. Whipple 3.0 with clutches at 4010 race weight versus a twin turbo/nitrous LPF Car with a converter at 3600 race weight.......
Mine held 900 all last year, but when I had it built, the clutches were toast. It was about to give up for sureAny of you guys know at what horsepower will I need clutches for a 10R80 Whipple car
Zach definitely has it figured out, but “most” fast A10 cars have converter. If for nothing else, the 2nd gear leave. I tried leaving in 2nd last year and had 1.64 60ft. Leaving in 1st it was 1.41. I went with the converter. Hopefully I can get some 1.2-1.3.I'm going to strongly disagree with you on that one as the fastest whipple 18 is on stock converter and cuts low 1.2x 60's
Mine is a street car and I barely Ever do digs so I might be... if that counts for AnythingMine held 900 all last year, but when I had it built, the clutches were toast. It was about to give up for sure
