So I was planning everything out for the Whipple gen 5. Planning on buying it through Beefcake and it should come up to $6800 (stage 1 with oversized heat exchanger). I happen to look at the Vortech pricing too and it came up to almost $5k even. Is anybody else in the same boat?

Those prices are without. Its $400 for me because I have already have Lund

I gotta tell ya, if your running a A10 the Centri can really shine, The rpm doesn’t drop in between shifts and keeps the power constant with the Centri, however the whipples a bit more torquey down low but pulls like a Centri

I don’t think u can make a mistake or either kit

Easy. If you want more low end torque, whipple.... vortech will have stock low end torque and you will have to get up higher in the rpms before boost kicks in. I have been in both, personally low end torque is a must for me.

Are those prices right? my stage 2 Whipple with DW 95s was 7k and the cheapest I saw a vortech tuner was like $5800, so around $6,400 with injectors.

If that really is the price difference, grab the vortech

You’ll be happy with either. To be fair, the whipple is a really nice looking kit with a killer blower. Can’t compare an entry level small satin blower to it. To be truly comparable you need to put an black coated upgraded blower. V7 or something like that. I’m not well versed on the blower options for Vortechs. Hope that makes sense.

I was looking at the stage one kit with the larger heat exchanger. I have 1000cc injectors already

I liked the Vortech's on my old cars but it was plagued with boost issues. I just went with a Gen5 on this car but I don't have it yet to give an opinion. I hope it doesn't suck for the price I paid, lol. The shits nice and they know it.

Yeah it’s really the price for me
Well that Whipple set up should be like $6,250. I was quoting the upgraded black vortech. Pretty sure the entry is going to tap out around 800 hp
