Tapping sound on cold start Mustang 2020(Australia)

Hello everyone,

I have a Ford Mustang GT 2020 which has 3300kms on the odometer. I noticed a tapping sound coming from the driver side of the engine on cold starts which goes away afterthe car warms up. Does anyone know what’s the issue here?

Drivers side (based on a RHD) has the direct injection pump sat on top of the cam cover - could it be that ?

Direct injection pumps arent known for being the quitest of things ...

Hey it's a known thing with these gen 3 coyote motors that it makes a "tick" sound before the motor warms up. I personally have the same noise. Some people say running Ceratec from Liqui moly or running a thicker oil can help quite down or get rid of the noise. #teamlethal
