I've got a crazy idea that a supercharger would be a fun project while the pandemic rages.
2020 GT/CS convertible with 360 miles. Daily driver post-pandemic.
Budget about $7500. Want to retain the strut tower as it is a convert and do not want to make any crazy mods. Would like to update injectors and pump. Stay less than <1000hp. Oh, and also will want to do the OPG/CS upgrade at the same time.
Why should I not pull the trigger? I sorta feel I should be talked out of it but I don't know anyone anymore who I can commiserate with about it.
Skill level = Mad old-school skills, modern cars = not so much. I do have plenty of tools though! Kidding aside, I am an well above average wrench. Worked in a machine shop back in the day and crewed for a sportsman's class NASCAR team. The thing that concerns me the most is all the goofy connectors they use now. I had a 2014 Mustang that I could not get some connections apart even with several versions of the special tools. I don't know how anyone could have!
So, I would appreciate your advice and thank you for the time you take to give it!
