Sync 3 Upgrade Kit for '15 Base Mustang GT Less than $1500?

Hey, everyone. Does anyone have any suggestions for upgrading my base GT to Sync 3 touch WITHOUT nav for less than $1500? I know there is the infotainment kit, but I was hoping I could do it for cheaper. I've looked at the Phoenix PV6 and NavOS options; however, I've become convinced that they are very unreliable. Honestly the NavOS system would be fine--excluding the long boot time.

The only issue is that I need a new "dash kit." I currently have the 4" screen in my car.

I found a possible solution. Given that you have that kit, you only need to buy an additional harness for $150--rendering about $400 savings. Has anyone chosen to use this upgrade path? AFAICT, it seems to be a mostly stuck upgrade--meaning I should experience less issues.
