You're missing a whole lot of information here, man. What suspension work do you already have? What driving characteristics are you trying to correct with the sway bars? What is your intent... drag racing, road racing, autocross, drift, etc.

Also of note; don't expect to just throw parts at a car and have it turn into a Ferrari

Thanks for the reply and yes, I guess I should have included more intent and information

Here's what I would like to do:
PCA on larger road course
Autocross
Other types of road racing
No drag racing

What I have done to the car:
Ford Performance Street lowering springs
Ford Performance Tow bars
Ford PP Lower front Control Arms

stock sway bars, shocks

Desired driving improvements:
Less body roll
Correct understeer
Under power from stop and turning, I get a side sway in the backend (kind of like a wiggle), tires are not sliding, it's more of a sway

Appreciate any help.

John

Is yours a PP? What wheel/tire combo are you running? Seems to me the Ford Performance sway bars would probably work well for you, as having all their parts as a cohesive kit may give it some decent dynamics, but I don't have first hand experience with them

For this specifically I'd suggest an IRS subframe kit such as BMR's CB005 and/or Steeda's Stop the Hop kit. After that I'd suggest upgrading the dampers and include Steeda's rear shock mounts as well. As to which dampers that depends on your budget, the cheapest I'd go with is Steeda's adjustable Pro Actions.

Agreed, I was slowly getting there lol

If you're running a staggered wheel/tire setup, then you have no need for sway bars currently. Switch to a square setup to minimize understeer, work on the IRS, and increase damping/spring rate. Contrary to Grimace, I'd get the coming BMR rear shock mounts, as they actually raise the mount point to account for lowered vehicles. Dampers, I'm also going to contest Grimace on this one and say wait on Bilstein to release their S550 dampers before upgrading. For now, if you're just a basic HPDE'r, the FP dampers should be enough

I think the Street springs from Ford are the same as the Performance Pack ones, so you could probably run the PP sway bars. If you want to go for a more performance oriented setup, the GT350R stuff has been working really great for me, and are very reasonably priced. I run the GT350R springs, GT350R sway bars, GT350R strut tower brace, and Koni adjustable shocks. The best part about the GT350R springs is the drop is only like .5" so it worked great on the street as well, especially as a daily driver. I also run the BMR cradle lockout and will probably get the Steeda shock mounts next.

Thanks guys, just ordered the BMR lockout kit you all suggested as a good first step. I’ll probably hold off on better dampers for right now but understand that there are going need to be part of the equation.

Thanks as I said, just ordered the BMR lockout kit. I didn’t fully understand what they did till I read about them after getting your advice it hit me what was going on from all the rubber bushings allowing movement in the IRS. Makes sense. I’ll look for those Bikstein’s. Do you know when they are coming out? Like the idea of the BMR shock mounts as well raising the location on lowered car which mine is by 1”.

There have been rumors swirling for a while now about when the Bilstein dampers are going to come out, but no one knows for sure. BMR mounts should be out soon though!

I didn't know BMR was coming out with their own mounts, pretty cool!

Dampers, I'm also going to contest Grimace on this one and say wait on Bilstein to release their S550 dampers before upgrading.

Bilstein makes some quality stuff for sure, but with so many great options on the market now I see no reason to wait for a specific brand. Perhaps back when the S550 was still new on the market but now there are great offerings from many brands. Having installed several sets of Pro-actions recently I feel they offer a nice improvement over stock without ruining streetability. My #1 choice(within a realistic budget) is Viking double adjustables front and rear, but they aren't as plug and play as the Pro-Actions and other similar options since they need upper mounts and usually springs come separate.

No idea, but let's hope they're planning on a big enough production run to get it off the back burner. I forget how long it took for a small run of specially valved Bils that fit my wife's Subie except that it was a good bit longer than a few weeks.

Vorshlag might have some idea (they've been big fans of Bilstein in the past), or perhaps RaceComp can find out even though they're not a Ford specialist.

On edit, let me suggest that once you have better dampers, you won't perceive the amount of roll to be as much as it is now, even if you don't make any spring or bar changes. This absolutely does count for something.

Last I talked to Vorshlag, they didn't give a whole lot of information, but said expect them fairly soon. I don't know why Bilstein is taking so long or why they seem to be so tight-lipped on them
