I ran the G2's on my 2015 through a few hurricanes and didn't have an issue hydroplaning, but they are not nearly as good as my pilot sports 4s's in the rain. I was actually thinking about doing them again when these need replaced so I can daily a matching 555rII in the back...

I have R2's sitting in my garage and that will be my rears with G2s up front.

R2s hook well and handle rain well. G2s cheap front option and match the rears.

I have a Procharged 2016 Auto6 daily driver, I got the Prochager because I knew traction with a Whipple would be a challenge.

People underestimate the Michellin PILOT SPORT A/S 3 PLUS.
They work great for me... Sure, you'll never get traction on first gear if not using a drag radial but I get great traction on 3rd/4th, and even 2nd most times.
I was not a believer until I drovea 2016 Corvette Z06 with them and they hooked.

I had Pilot Super Sports before and I like the Sport 3 better.

Lol, whatever dude.
If you have no hydroplaning issues with 555G2’s you ether have skinny tires in front, don’t have real rain storms, or drive slower than speed limit

It’s not just the tires its the suspension set up as well . Wider the tire in the wet can be a problem . With a supercharger on a S550 the rear end squats down under power and the irs changers the angle of the rear wheels and that’s a huge problem . So it’s not just about the size or type of tire your running . Plenty of cars running 8 sec passes with a 275 radial tire ,suspension set up is the key also . Factory sizes are 19 inch on a GT 275/40x19 for most and 20 inch . Traction needs a 17 inch with a tall side wall , not a 275 with a low profile side wall ,that’s good for handling .

No Issues with PSS 305/35/19 out back, on my 3rd set. I think with any supercharged vehicle - the driver becomes familiar with the tires behavior in different temps/weather etc.

I have buddies that put them on their Vetts for those under 45 degree days in Colorado and they say the tires are great also and give up very little in the grip department compared to the Pilot Super Sports.

Lol. One again you prove to be an a$$ by acting like you know it all when you don't. Just because someone proves you wrong doesn't mean you have to act like a spoiled pompous baby. Peace out.

No one can prove me wrong because I have first hand experience. You use insults instead of having a adult debate but I’m the baby. Do you even see how Hippocratic that is?
If someone uses skinny tires there’s less chance of hydroplaning. I live in a area that rains heavily for weeks at a time. If someone drives under the posted speed limit they would have less chance of hydroplaning. If you had better experience with them then that’s awesome I glad but my experience is very negative just like your attitude.

Assuming you have 3.15 gears how does it hook at 2nd at 60 for those mexico nights, or would you have to do 3rd at 60... Also what fronts are you running if you don't mind me asking. Thanks!
