Yes. They don’t last long. Are loud, and not as good as my contis in the rain but they’re magic for a 20” tire. I don’t enjoy my car anywhere as much without then. They launch hard on the street with the nannies off in good temps. I never had to warm them up. Never did one burnout with them until they lost their grip. So hard you feel the backend is going fall off. Im Dying to get them back on. They look amazing also.
Thanks for your input mate.

I'm just concerned with ability in the wet.

How do they compare for price?

They’re not cheap. If it’s pouring with standing water I’d pull over. Otherwise I’ve been at highway speeds in the rain and as you go slow you’ll be fine. My contis are supposed to be great in rain but I’d put them at go slow In pouring rain level. Whereas I’d pull over with the toyos.

That’s about right and the reason (that and the ones I have were free) they’re not on mine right now.

I'm at 1000 at the tires, and running 305/35/20 NT555R2's in the rear, and 285/35/20 NT555G2's in the front.

For the track, I run the 28x6-18 MT Radial Front Runner and 305/45/17 MT ET Street R.

Recently upgraded to a NT05R to gain more traction. Went with a 315/40/18 for the rear on a 11.5" wide wheel.

I run Nitto NT05R on the rear, 315s on 10.5" rim. However, I have posted on similar traction concerns for my 18 Roush Phase II Supercharged GT. It is currently in the shop undergoing power and other mods. I have heard from others the MT S/S drag radial is stickier than the Nittos. I have also heard good things about the Toyo Proxies R888R.

If that is a daily just be careful in the rain. The 555r2 can hook power but still handle the rain where the NT05R just don't do well when wet.

ET Street S/S is a bit stickier but the downside is it’s horrendous in rain and doesn’t handle well. Car can tend to feel like it’s wallowing at highway speeds.

Nitto claims the 555R2 it hooks better than the NTO5R and is pretty safe in rain, handles very well for a drag radial and doesn’t wear out too fast.

Best drag radial for the street in my opinion is the 555 R2.

From what I have heard NItto and Toyo use some of the same compound on their R tires. Not sure which is the parent company but they are related companies.

I’ve been trying to figure out the same. The PS4S are a joke with a Whipple. I can’t hook gears 1-4. If it’s 90+ deg outside, 4th might hook. But like you, mine is a daily driver. I put about 12,000 miles per year on mine so a 10k mile tire with no rain ability is a no-go for me.

I believe a 305/35-19 will fit the pp1 wheel ok.

Unfortunately, they don’t make a nitto 555r in a 19”. However, in a 305/35-19, they make the cup2, which is what comes in the gt500 track pack, gt350r, and gt pp2. This is probably the lead option for me as of now.
Someone may have picked up on this already, but the cup2s that come on the PP2 are 305/30/19 not 35s. I'm not certain they make a 35 in that size cup2.

I believe your right they share a similar compound. Boy those Toyos are pricey though.

They are but I'm selling mine to vroom so won't be buying any sticky tires.

Your selling you car?
I hope so, they made an incredible offer. You should look into it. You might get more than you paid.

Going to get into vacation rentals and need my credit freed up.
