Is the word on this Suncoast VB/pump setup still that the only tuning required is the TCC offset?
I have heard that some cars never fully learn the new VB well and can't ultimately resolve too hard shifting lever into D and harsh shifts. There was some word that Suncoast was making alterations to their mods late last year. I really want to hear this works well; I like the upgrades it offers.

yes, tcc offset is all,
as far as firm shifting, firm shifts are what helps the trans live, you want firm shifting, tuning can manipulate that some as far as pressures and such

Thanks very much for the input. Firm is totally fine. There was some indication it could be too many clicks beyond harsh and not livable, in a number of cars. If you're saying your builds and customer feedback is fine, I'm glad to hear it.

Has anyone else tried this mod?
So far I saw only one review in this thread which wasn't exactly optimistic.
I am interested in having this installed but I'd rather wait for honest first hand opinions.

Any info as to what's been happening? In my current situation it makes more sense to have a local shop install the Cat 3 kit. Don't have access to a lift to remove my trans to ship to Midnight and I don't want to do it on the ground.

Mine's installed but haven't been able to drive it since. I never had a hard shift into 1st but my 4-5 and 5-6 flared like crazy. Thought it was tune based but that's run dry so I just sent a message to Suncoast. Hoping for some guidance from them. Not much info on the forum yet

Just read this thread and seems a few issues with suncoast VB it looks like stick to OEM from whats going on with these? has anyone had luck so far?
