Maybe some prepsol would help to dissolve it?

I dunno what prep wash is sorry.
Prepsol is what your panel beater will use to remove wax and grease etc prior to painting your car and in some cases, prior to polishing a car.
It won't hurt the paint at all.
Other brands usually just call themselves wax and grease remover.

What surface is that? Vinyl stripe?

Try parking it in the sun to get it warm then wash with warm water and you're usual car shampoo. I've had some success with that in the past and it's the mildest approach.

Wax and grease remover should be safe but it'll obviously strip your wax so you'd need to reapply. I'd wash and rinse well afterwards as well and if that is vinyl stay away from the edge just in case.

If neither of those methods work you could try a good quality bug and tar remover or strong APC (which will also likely strip wax) or you could try a clay bar but I'm not sure how that'd go on vinyl if that's what it is. It might cause minor marring which you could polish out normally but I've never polished vinyl.

you could also try de-solv-it (coles) it but test on a spot first if possible.

Shane you sure it's sap or bird poo? Sap would dissolve where as bird poo contains uric acid, corrosive enough to eat through paint and in your case vinyl. It looks like from the photo it has corroded into the colour. When you come over I will give you a fresh clay bar to go over it.

Yeah I would also recommend trying a clay bar. It may need to be removed with a D/A polisher and very fine grade polish if its etched in
