Strut Tower Brace - Odds of Breaking Studs?

ive broken one. i really dont think its hard to break them if you are not paying close attention.

ive broken one.
I've had mine on and off so many times I can't count. I use a 1/2 inch impact. I run the bolt till it bottoms then let the hammer hit about 3 times and call it done.

I trust my mechanic to guess at torque and not to break anything, he’s been turning bolts on cars for decades.

I trust myself with a torque wrench. It takes a few seconds to look up torque values. 99.7% of the time you won’t break a bolt if you’re using a decent torque wrench with the published number.

Strut tower studs aren’t really any different from any other stud. I’ve had mine off and on a handful of times without incident.
