Stroke of bad luck, or time to upgrade the fuel pump?

Hey, how are you guys today?

Long story short, friday I was driving to swap cars (Had an intercooler installed on my A4) and I got P0627 (Fuel Pump).

Mods are in sig, though I should change the tuner to SCT4 and JDM tune, otherwise its the same. Dealer just called, said it needed a new battery (Ok) and a new fuel pump, though I just got off the phone w/JDM and they're like that's the first they've heard of that

I'll spare you the superstition about Mercury Rising, though as I said, is it time to upgrade or was it just random bad luck?

Which fuel pump? I'd assume they're saying the LPFP in the tank but I've yet to see any of them crap out. If it did, that's unusual.

Hey Mike,
We have not heard of this issue happening yet. I believe your car is under factory warranty still so they are going to replace it for you for free correct? With the power level you are at now the stock pump is more then sufficient so there is definitely no issue with running the stock pump again, just curious as to what made it fail so quickly.

Well, had to get a new battery, but otherwise from what you guys are saying, it's just a random fluke that happened

Fuel system is stock btw Juben, haven't touched that yet.

Being I'm superstitious, I'm just gonna assume Mercury Retrograde xD
