Took care of some maintenance stuff I've been putting off for a while now so I could finalize my tune. Tune is done and car is ripping.

Is that an OEM GT350 bumper or did you buy from another company? Did it come painted or did you get it painted yourself?

This is the MP Concepts bumper. And I had it painted by a friend.
OEM GT350 only fits on a GT350. Different core support.

Not a lot of changes lately other than some Roush side splitters. Just driving it and enjoying it. Cobb did come by one of our Club Loose Texas events and do a little feature on the event, me, and the car for a new web series which was cool!

Here's some slow mo shot on RED of me drifting that same day as well

I have some lateral links and a fresh cobb intercooler and piping just sitting in the garage waiting to go on though...

Man, I haven't updated this in over a year, but due to recent inquiries from instagram, I might as well document stuff here.

Still loving the car, and still trying to progress it for drifting. Here's an edit from last summer:

After that, the car took a back seat for a bit because my son was born in August. He fucking rules. I took care of him, played a bunch of video games, and gained like 20 lbs, then had to drop it all off lol. But I also bought an Explorer as a daily/dad vehicle, so the mustang no longer had to serve as my daily, but it will still remain a street car through and through.

Then COVID hit and I found myself with even more time to mess with the car and start leveling it up to where I wanted to to be. Next up was the COBB IC and piping as well as a catted downpipe from CVFab and a turbosmart wastegate from Tune+ as well as a retune. All were a simple bolt on affair, and after the retune, it really woke the car up even more than before.

There was an upcoming event in Houston run by friend Jimmy Yates, called Knuckle Up! at a kart track. I knew the car would need a little more suspension adjustment, and it had been something I've been putting off for a while, so I went to my friends at Yoi Kazoku Motorsports in San Antonio for the adujustments. We put on a pair of 245/35 Federal RS-RR up front as well as extended the FLCA, added some front caster, and a 1/4" of toe out. It made the front end VERY aggressive, but the following event proved successful. I had to raise the front about an inch to compensate for the increased camber, but the car is so much more responsive and I could drive it much more aggressively. But that lead me to finding another weak link.

The weekend was a huge success and I was so stoked to be back drifting after nearly a year off. But with the more aggressive front suspension settings and tires, I noticed the reclinable seat I had just wasn't up to the task of holding me in place anymore. It was fantastic for daily driving, but now that I didn't need that anymore, it was time to step up to a legit seat. I scored an authentic red Bride Zeta III from a friend locally, and paired with the rest of the interior, it fit perfectly. I love how it looks like a typical 90's japanese car interior. You spend more time in there, might as well make it the best place to be.

Last weekend I was able to take it out at a local, private, event we threw for Club Loose Texas, and the seat was such a huge improvement. I felt more planted and in control than I ever have. The car is self steering better than ever, and I can't wait to see what's next! The biggest complaint I have is during events my charge air temps get too high due to a lack of airflow to the intercooler, which causes the ECU to pull timing on occasion. An intercooler with more surface area, as well as a methanol injection system seems like the best bet, but I'm open to other suggestions!

Super cool build! I love what you've done to the interior. I wonder if there's aftermarket button assemblies you can buy to rewire your steering wheel buttons.

I have a question about the wheelspeed plug that you are disconnecting on the front end of the car. What all does that affect? Traction control & stability control can be turned off with the switches. Are you specifically trying to do something with the ABS/braking?

Unplugging it changes how the steering returns to center (more easily when unplugged, like a hydraulic rack) when drifting.

Interesting, could you be more specific on the connector? What do you use to counteract the ABS?
