My RPM at warm idle is ~650 steady. Workshop manual says ideal "hot" idle is 729rpm.

Is my idle actually low, or this a terminology issue i.e. "hot" and "warm" idle being different states?

Seen another thread where everyone said stock idle was 650, but this was in 2015.

Thanks for any help!

Mine seems actually a little lower than that, at around 625 rpm eyeballing it, so perfectly normal IMO. I need to switch from gear indicator to digital tach one of these days, to see exactly what it is. It goes a little higher with the A/C on, but still less than 700. Surprisingly, engine feels very smooth at that super low idle; incredible. You can thank the EPA for that :).

Thanks @Elp_jc ! I've been using my OBD scan tools to check exactly what it is -- mine hovers around 650 +- 1-3 at idle.
