I found a 2023 stock air box with sound tube on FB, I have read that the 18+ air box will give more hp, will the 23 fits in my 15 gt pp? If so how hard is it to swap it out?? And if I will need a tune??

It's a direct drop in and pretty easy to do, but you'll need a tune.
Curious, why is a tune needed? Is the 18+ tubing larger thus bringing in more air than the 15-17 cars can adjust for?

A 2018+ INTAKE MANIFOLD would give you more HP. A 2018+ air box will do absolutely nothing, and I don't think it will mount properly in your 2015 car.

2015-2023 use exactly the same air intake filters. The air intake systems are all the same, except for changes made for reasons related to re-styling of the front end in 2018.

Please ignore the above.

isn’t he intake tube itself a larger diameter on the 18+ set up, meaning it would need a tune? I could be wrong on that

Not to mention the 22-23 air box has the carbon trap so if you leave it in you'll lose 10 hp

I could be wrong, but I wouldn't think so. I think the intake manifold is the real difference maker. The intake air boxes are effectively all the same, from 2015-2023. Including the Mach 1s.

Including the Mach 1s.
That's incorrect. The mach 1's have the same intake as the bullitt and GT 350's. The standard GT and ecoboost use a flat panel air filter, whereas the GT 350, mach 1, and bullitt use a cone filter with an open airbox and a larger diameter air tube to accommodate the larger 87 mm throttle body.

Yes the MAF tube is bigger, thus requiring a tune. Simply having a bigger tube is not an issue, the PCM can adjust a little bit. But if the MAF tube itself is a different size, it will all be wrong.

My bad.

I'm surprised the newer intake box/tube makes a difference.

18+ air box drops right in. no issues. first hand experience.

the 23 air gt box carbon trap pops right out. no issue there either. i've done both, adding an 18+ to a 17 and removing the carbon trap from a '23 gt.

as mentioned, a re-tune will be needed if putting the 18+ on a 15-17 because the intake tube is bigger.

I've read that the 18+ intake will give you just as much gain as a CAI is that true?
