Read a couple times in this forum guys are commenting that the stock coyote engine will handle up to 900hp. This seems extreme for a stock engine if you ask me. Could we see what your HP/TQ numbers are STOCK blocks only and how many miles. Edit: Concerned with internals as well. Sorry for the confusion.

i believe the general consensus for safety on the stock block is going to be somewhere in the range of 650-700whp. most systems run around 10psi (+/-1). a lot of guys recommend the OPG/crank gears upgrade but other than that, there have been a lot of smiles with the stock motor. 900hp will definitely require built motor.

We regularly do builds that approach the 600+ rwhp mark on stock blocks. With that said, we highly recommend upgraded OPG at the bare minimum when doing a forced induction modification. Anything above that we recommend upgrading to one of our Powerstorm Pro or Race series blocks.

I would go more with somewhere around sub 750 RWHP for pump gas and sub 850 RWHP for MS109/E85.

id say 700whp is fairly safe.. they are putting them out with 600whp and a warranty and 700 is just about 2k upgrades away

I have around 8K miles - 4K miles stock, 2K miles at 620whp, and another 2K or so at 750whp (E85). I upgraded OPG and Crank Gear when I switched fuel systems to run E85.

The weak link is the connecting rods, after that it is the pistons, like most, we would place a safe limit of about 650 if properly tuned. Also, as many other have also noted the MMR OPG and Crank Gear is HIGHLY Recommended!! Let us know if we can help, we have forged shortblocks starting at $4799 that will take the reliability limit up to 900 RWHP and have shortblocks that go as high as 3500HP!

Paul (aka roush_s550) is trapping 150 on a stock block with stock opg's...... I would assume his rwhp is up there!

I made 713 HP 544 TQ on my Whipple stage 2 setup. I did the OPG and crank sprocket the same time I went boosted. Hoping it holds since I don't beat on the car. Anything man made will fail over time though. The price we pay to play.

Is a BAP (boost-a-pump) needed in all cases when going FI?
