Yea, I’ve found that superchargers and fuel pumps never seem to flow what the manufacturers state. Some of it is for sure due to losses like filters and plumbing.

Well I'd like to avoid a BAP at all costs, cause I think it's just a band aid. I'll look at some Holley pumps.

The bap still more or less works with the pcm fuel pressure control loop, so it’s not seeing full tilt voltage all the time. Most tuners don’t change the tune but that’s another story.

My plan is to upgrade to the dw440 when my combo isn’t enough, but that’s another bit of a project on the control side.

Isn't that just a wire it up with the controller and go kinda deal ?

I did quite a bit of digging and testing and I don’t see how that’s possible.

See my posts between 64 and about 84:

Yeah I know about that thread. But DW's PDF is pretty thorough.

Attach the Red wire on the controller to a known solid non pulsed +12v key on switched source. Attach the Black controller wire to a known solid non pulsed ground source.
Attach the White wire to the PWM output on your ECU or Fuel Pump Control Module.

The red wire can go to any source up to 24 volts, so it can go to the 18v bap output.

The white is the problem. If you use the pcm output to the fpdm, it’s all wrong because it’s pwm is 15-50% output range and 75% is off. This could be reprogrammed in the pcm but I don’t think anyone has done it. The alternative is to use the fpdm output to the fuel pump which is 30-100% but it’s hot/open pulsing when the VFD needs ground/open pulsing. It might work as it or it might need a transistor to work. Either way, I suspect the fuel pump control offset and slope will need tweaking in the tune.

Then attach the White wire to a hobb switch to ground to activate the high flow mode.
You could get the cheaper 2-speed model and that would work. I just don’t trust Hobbs switches for reliability long-term. Or…get creative and use the imrc control to trigger the pump.

Well if you think a DW pump is under spec'd.. try a walbro fuel pump. You'll be in for a big surprise.
