8900 miles and I love the A10. I almost always drive in Sport, love the down shifts.

I may need to take my 18 a10 in for the pcm update. My car shifts pretty hard from park to drive most of the time. I don't remember it doing that when I first bought it. Other than that I enjoy the 10r80.

Overall it is a great transmission. I do have an issue with shifts out of park to drive or reverse. They are pretty hard especially when cold. Also downshifts from 4th to 3rd are a little rough. I am hoping there is an update. If they solve these things I will be 100% happy instead of 95%. Still wouldnā€™t have it any other way.

awaiting my order, how is it when it comes to a stop when using paddle shifters? my moms edge sport when using paddles jerks a little bit when you come to a stop if you do it in 2nd, 3rd is a little smoother. i didnt paddle shift on either of the test drives.

I had this same issue. The dealer tech drove it and reprogrammed the trans. Night and day different, super smooth now.

Iā€™ve seen that one but that looks like valve body replacement I donā€™t think it mentions PCM update.
I cleared the adaptive strategy myself using Forscan and it fixed the clunky down shifts...Shifts smooth now.

Am I happy I chose the A10? Not just yeah, but HELL YEAH!
Mine is perfect. Smooth engagements into drive or reverse. No clunks. Smooth upshifts and downshifts. It does not "hunt" for the right gear. Performance is exceptional. Drag mode is incredible. It shifts amazingly fast and firmly in that mode. Whether used as a daily driver or at at dragstrip, I am 100% satisfied.
This goes for me also now with 14K miles I love it. I drive most of the time in sport.

Concerning my 10R80...not just yes, but hell yes I'm still glad I bought the car with it! Mine's been bulletproof so far with zero issues unless you call super fast shifts and always staying in the powerband an issue...

About the only thing I would change is, instead of the shifter doing Drive and Sport, I would like the shifter to shift into Drive then have the shifter toggle the gears up(forward) or down(back) as the paddle shifter does, automatically overriding like it does now.

All Modes are handled through the console/steering wheel switches

A10 all the way. My BMW has a 6 speed manual. It will probably be the last one I own. It seems foolish to continue doing something the car can do better than I can.
