Is it me or does the Mach 1 feel like the stepchild of the Mustang community?

The Shelbys are the oldest, perfect, golden children and the GT's are the rowdy, youngest kids while the Mach 1 is the ignored middle step child.

I come from the Buick community (68/69 GS) and I'm kind of used to it.

Yeah no, Mach 1 gets tons of attention in real life lol. People just complained about this generation primarily because of the price.

Well, since it's just a sticker package (*ducks*) you're surprised? :) :)

Back in the day (68-73) the M1 had cachet and name cred but was otherwise not much more than a cosmetic kit at casual glance by people not in the know.

What did you expect to be different?
I was reading the OP as this was playing... Seemed oddly appropos

It's awesome on the street but looking for parts seems discouraging. Listings for GT or Shelbys. Don't want to order the wrong part.

the M1 == GT
The ONLY place it's not is anything that mounts to the front bumper.

I test drove a GT with the magneride, M1 is so far better.
the MR tuning in the GT/EB isn't very good. If you install the FP re-flash it improves a bit - close to PP2. The M1 uses the GT350R/GT500 front dampers and it's programming is better still.

Definitely do the simple IRS fixes and the MR will improve even with stock programming.

The best MR experience however requires a change of brand - C7/Z51, Camaro SS/1LE, or Blackwing/C8.

This is the truth, GM has the MR tuning nailed down. I’m not a huge fan of the C8, mainly because I feel squeezed when I sit in it, but the ride is fantastic in every driving mode.
