Matt, if you have the graph, it would be great if you posted it.

A same day comparison would be easy. Just run the steeda tune, put the stock tune back on and run it again. That was my plan and might do this if I get a chance.
Got it; so the SCT would retain the stock ECU map and allow you to reinstall?

Sure. It takes about 10-12 minutes to re-flash. If you talk to James he will tell you that the custom tune retains a stock tune within it. Also the '18 and up have many more areas of tweaking in the tune. The tune file is much bigger and takes longer to upload. Nothing like my S197s.

But, it is easy to to. When I take a tuned car to the dealer I flash it back to stock first as long as no other mods. My understanding is that Ford knows it has been re-flashed and likely knows the dealer history of the car, but not what was actually done on the custom tune. Someone can correct me if this is incorrect.

Yeah you can always flash back to stock.

If I had realized he was going a Steeda tune dyno I'd have chipped in to do more pulls with stock tune also.

I did the dyno and custom tune on EU Bullitt with 100 octane fuel (=96 in the US)
Results are impresive.
EU Bullitt suppose to have 460HP and we measured:
Stock on wheels 409,5 = 471 HP on the crank
Tuned on wheels 437,8 = 503 HP on the crank
Very happy with the mod, car feels much more alive from 4000 rpm, low end remains the same.

Gents, I have an off the wall question: I have a SCT X4 tuner from my previous '13 Mustang GT. Will I be able to use it on my new '19 Bullitt?

If its not married to your GT and is unlocked you should be able to just have any SCT tuner flash a tune to it for your BULLITT

Spoke to James from Tunes by James for about an hour this AM. Great guy! Was getting ready to order his Bullitt tune when we got started talking tuners. Did not know about the marital status of these devices till we talked. It is still married to my '13 GT which is prolly at auction by now. I should have restored it to stock before I had it dyno tuned last year. Who knew? Gonna have to send it to SCT and eat the $150. What a ripoff.

Call up SCT tuners in your area, some are able to unlock and will do it cheaper for you. I once had a tuner do it for just $20 since I was getting a dyno tune from them.

I got my X4 back from SCT and its now divorced. James made me a custom tune for my Bullitt which I put in this afternoon. The tuner first downloads the stock data then installs the custom tune, which takes a while. I admit I got a little freaked out during the flashing when the whole car went totally dead. A little unnerving. But when the flash was done, the whole car came on like throwing a master switch. Started up and first thing I noticed is the instant throttle response with zeo delay. Power came on smoother and felt more torque in the low and mid rpm range. I think im a happy camper.
