Steeda S550 Mustang Front Roll Center & Bumpsteer Correction Kit (2015-2019 All) Great package savings P/N 555-4915

By lowering your S550 Mustang, you have consequently lowered the front roll center and introduced more pronounced bumpsteer. This leads to symptoms you have likely experienced: reduced steering response, increased body roll, and reduced cornering grip.

With an increased ball stud height, Steeda's Lateral Link (555 4906) has eliminated the adverse effects of lowering your vehicle by raising the front roll center. This, in turn, helps to increase steering response, decrease body roll, and increase cornering grip, helping you turn even better lap times! Coupled with our S550 Bumpsteer Kit (555 8133), your front suspension geometry will remain intact, with a significant reduction in bumpsteer.

These are a must for any S550 Mustang owner looking a bolt-on suspension upgrade to increase handling performance.

Product Benefits:

Corrects the front roll center on vehicles lowered 0.5" or more
Reduces bumpsteer
Increases steering wheel responsiveness
Decreases body roll
Improves tire contact patch with the road
Increased cornering grip

Aren't these the factory Shelby links?
No. The GT350 has a different seat angle (ask me how I found out). The description of these should be corrected as they won't fit properly in the GT350 knuckle because of that.

Like BmacIL said, the knuckle on the Shelby GT350 is different and the lateral links nor the bumpsteer kit fit.

But, the GT350 links already have extended studs like these.

So I bought this kit awhile back intending to install it along with a set of lowering springs on my 2017 GT. I never got around to the install and I have since traded in my 2017 GT on a 2020 GT Performance Pack - Level 2. Is it worthwhile to install this kit on a stock PP2 car? I doubt I will ever lower it, but you never know. Also, any issues installing them on a car with Magneride? I thought I read in another post that this kit is only for non Magneride cars, but don't see anything on the Steeda's website to suggest otherwise.

Thanks,

Doug

Will these clear 18x11 front wheels? I'm planning on buying the APEX SM-10 18x11 EC52 with a 25mm spacer. Was worried about if the control arms or the tie rods would contact the wheel at any time.

Thanks!

Hi Doug,

I'm most certain someone will correct me if I'm wrong here, but I would not install this kit on a stock ride height car. The intention of the kit is to 'correct' the geometry issues you cause when lowering the car. Not lowered? You have not negatively impacted the geometry (roll center & tie rod angle) this kit is intended to correct. You will do more harm than good if you install on a car that has not been lowered.

regarding the roll center correcting arms. can anyone explain why its a one size fits all? i mean if you are lowered 0.5 in v 1.5 inch wouldnt you need a differing length of ball joint extension?

Its probably not one size, but close enough is good enough since the suspension is designed to work in a range anyway.

You’re shifting the sweet spot. Lowering springs are usually 0.75”-1.2” lower or so, and if you only lowered the car 0.5” you really wouldn’t need to move the sweet spot anyway.
